Newsletter March 2013 Dear Parents and Carers,

Our Local Authority Achievement Partner declares that Regent Farm First School is ‘Outstanding’ ‘Achievement is outstanding…children make outstanding progress and this enables them to achieve high standards’. ‘Teaching is outstanding. Teachers have high expectations of what children can achieve. The rich and varied curriculum provides them with opportunities to use and apply their basic skills in different subjects and situations. Teachers are very aware of what children know and understand and use this information during lessons to adjust planning to take account of individual needs. Teachers create a positive climate for learning and pupils show high levels of engagement.’ ‘The Behaviour and Safety of Pupils is outstanding. Behaviour on visits is exemplary and very positive feedback about this has been received from a range of organisations. A strong positive ethos pervades all aspects of school life. Children are happy, enjoy coming to school and enjoy learning…Rigorous monitoring and focussed work with parents has helped to bring about improvements in attendance.’ ‘Leadership and Management are Outstanding’. School leaders have an ambitious vision for the school, providing strong leadership and a clear direction.’ Overall effectiveness of the School – ‘OUTSTANDING’ Thank you to every member of our school community for making Regent Farm such a happy and successful place to be.
