Xbox 360 games are some of the most popular in the world right now, with millions of people playing them every day. However, with the discs being in DVD format, they are easily damaged and scratched, which can make the game unplayable. To prevent this, you just need to be able to make a backup of the game and play that on your console... but many people have found this is very hard to do, unless you know a tool / technique which can bypass the copyright protection. Because Xbox 360 games are written to DVD, Microsoft have taken a lot of time to protect their games, as many people have the ability to copy them with a DVD burner. This is important, because if you want to legally copy & backup your Xbox 360 game, you now need to bypass all the copyright protection that Microsoft have employed. And this protection is in the form of "security sectors". Security sectors are small parts of the DVD disc which store the license and game information about the game. When Microsoft burns the DVD, it makes sure that it burns these sectors in a special way, making them only visible to the Xbox console and Microsoft. This means that if you try and copy the game in your PC, your computer will not see these security sectors, and will only copy the game data. The way the copyright protection works is actually very simple - because the security sectors are only apparent on "original" games, the Xbox 360 has been programmed to only play the games that have a complete set of these sectors. This means that if you try and copy a game, and it doesn't have the sectors intact, your console will just not play it. This is very bad, and is the reason why mod chips are so popular - because they make the Xbox 360 bypass all the protection measures so you can play copied games. However, if you don't want to void the warranty on your Xbox, you can actually play backed up games by making your computer copy the games perfectly, including the security sectors. And do that, you just need to be able to get a tool or technique which allows your computer to read the entire game disc and copy it 1:1, allowing your Xbox to read the security sectors on the disc, allowing it to play the backed up game. You can actually copy Xbox360 games very easily with a tool called GameBackupSystem. This tool has been created by an anonymous team, but we were able to backup and play 20+ Xbox360 games with it. It copies your game discs perfectly, including the copyright protection sectors. This means that you can copy as many games as you want with the system, and then play them on your console without a mod chip. Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Jack_Hoffmann
