Fashion? Fashion, in itself, is a reflection of a society. it symbolizes Trend? It is what we see on the streets being
the modernity of the times, how a society faces changes socially, politically and culturally. It is also influential by the way we see fashion bloggers portray themselves with style. In essence, we highlight the word.. Trend.

Fashion is a prevailing style especially on clothes-wear, accessories, make up, hairstyle and body. In a way, fashion constantly changes and evolves all the time. An it has been happening for over the years.
Ever since clothes were invented, they have been used as another way to express, and thus it became a form of art. Fashion became a way of showing off your own personality, so it is alright to develop your own sense of style and don't forget to show off who you are in an aesthetic way! POP CULTURE

fashion experience A narrative by: Micaella L. Mondoñedo Fashion Trends, from the 1960’s still exists today, taking new forms, of course. Fashion trends are basically ideas formed by runway models in popular brands, by the teenagers and by anyone who is well known in the entertainment industry. Teenagers are usually those who start this trend of fashion, ranging from tattered jeans to crop tops, mixing and matching colors, and what not. From a perspective of a qualified teen, I have seen fashion trends go, seeing different themes and different color mismatches that actually work. Fashion trends are dominating in various industries. We see shops like H&M, Forever 21, and the like to advertise clothing, not only thinking of the current season but also thinking if whether it’s part of the current fashion trend. But there’s one thing that makes us buy the product even more, it's the models. How they project, how they are able to carry the product without words but with just pure eye contact and poses. Which is why we tried to model and bring out our charms to the world. Picking out the Themes or as we called it.. Aesthetics, we dressed accordingly. The one thing we found very tiring was the constant changing of clothes especially when we just changed like 30 minutes ago. Unlike with the America’s Next Top Model show where the girls are good with how they construct their body language with a simple move of a hand, we just seemed lost sometimes. One thing that was very frustrating was when we couldn’t shoot for a certain aesthetic because we didn’t have the proper facilities to use. It was fun either way, We get to bond and get closer to each other and create this atmosphere where we can just be ourselves and show our potential. Although we know not all of our shots will be used but we’re glad to be at least showcased in a page or two. We’ve worked hard to create those pictures and hope that it turned out great. The aesthetics we used were mostly catered to what we’re interested in, just like the Cafe Aesthetic and the like to which we showcased what we really love doing in our free time. We did really regret not having to show our love for books because we’ve had to cancel it out. The Experience was both amazing and tiring but in the end we pulled it off right. It even brought out the beauty of classmates.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO HAVE GREAT FASHION IDEAS? Well, I guess those girls I see in Pinterest of Tumblr. I think they've got really cute sense of styles. But, I like to alter sometimes. How you look may depend on how you carry your clothes, however, sometimes it depends on the shape of your body too. DO YOU PREFER JAPANESE OR KOREAN STYLES? I think they're both very similar, except Japanese styles are pretty unique, The Korean styles are very cute but they're pretty normal. I love both either way. DO YOU THINK PEOPLE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEIR STYLE OF CLOTHING? Absolutely not! Dressing up is also a way to express yourself and your mood. No one should ever judge someone else by their appearance.

STYLING TIPS TO GET THE Perfect Bohemian Look

ohemian style, often referred to as “boho” or “boho chic”, is a style of dressing that was popularized during the 1960s and 1970s. The essence of bohemian is focusing on creativeness, resourcefulness and being care free about your style. Bohemian style is used up until now and has become the very famous style in events such as “Coachella Music Festival” which is held in the United State of America. In the Philippines, bohemian style is usually used during summer wherein people can freely add some bohemian spice to your beach vacation getaway “OOTDs” (Outfit of The Day).

ere are some tips and steps to acquire your very own bohemian outfit from your closet! First, always choose to wear comfortably rather than saying “tiis-ganda, Bes”. Find clothes from your wardrobe that you
can comfortably run along without feeling annoyed, and also clothes that has that ‘boho touch’. Choose to wear delicate patterns or vibrant accent. Think of an outfit wherein you can show the people the unique patterns and accents of your wardrobe and your fashion taste. A bohemian outfit would be perfect with natural tones and outfits with good fabrics. Second, add some spice to your look. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO NEVER OVERDO! Accessories help any outfit to shine even more, and are the key to enhance every girl’s dream outfits and/or OOTDs. Look for accessories that coordinates with your outfit’s color, pattern, or vibrant. Beads, hats, turbans, sunglasses, and laces will do. Third, shoes can’t be left out! Outfits can never be complete without any footwear. For an edgy boho look, you can go for tanned or leather boots. On the other hand, you can make it simple with just any heel wedges and gladiator sandals. Fourth, bohemian style isn’t about neon and very light colors. It is best with natural colors that also coordinate with your tone. Nude colors are the most preferred color scheme for any bohemian outfits. It’s the main key. "Our generation gets inspiration from the past " As we can see today, fashion is a huge part of this generation whether its a simple gathering attire or just simply an OOTD (outfit of the day) to show off your sense of style to the world. There are different kinds of trends that happened decades ago which we take inspiration of, first would be the 1960's the of style that is well known to people is the "flower power" or hippie look. The hippie look was outrageous and odd with psychedelic patterns and vibrant colors. Often these patterns mimic flowers, landscapes, or other nature imagery. Which inspiration to what we call now as bohemian or boho chic, that has strong influence of the 60's with a modern twist. Another style trend would be from the 1990s which was called the "minimalist" look, it is described as an anti fashion that emerged on both sides of the Atlantic where young people would typically wear simple clothes such as black jeans and white T-shirts without a visible brand name. A lot of young women wore jeans and plaid shirts, or simple plain T-shirts in rebellion with the gender roles and social norms at that time. This fashion has the roots of many modern anti-fashion trends, such as grunge and etc. Which gave some inspiration to the simple casual look at you see today, and lastly the 2000's which was called "the global mash up" where trends fuse of previous vintage styles, global and ethnic clothing (e.g. bohemian), as well as the fashions of numerous music-based subcultures (band shirts like nirvana) and it gave inspiration to the recent generation but with influences from Korean fashion. Classification of Fashion When it comes to popular fashion trends, these are the bohemian attire and casual attire to name a few from the many lists of stylish fashion trends of today. Bohemian attire is popular in Coachella theme party or any event. Also referred as Boho chic, it reappears as beatnik style and in the hippie culture. Its fashion elements are flowing clothing made of natural fabrics, less restrictive garments, flowing hair, colorful scarves, peasant style clothing, worn clothing, oriental elements, historical elements of medieval with ethnic style, layering, matching of garments, jewelries, large dangle, broad brimmed hats, patched clothing, flowered fabrics, and laceedged sleeve. Bohemian attire embodies a hippie style. Casual fashion appears in everyday errands like outgoings with family or friends. It may be a simple shirt with print or plain and partner with jeans and sneakers. This go-to look is paired with jacket or cardigan. Casual attire is also for people who dressed up in accordance to their mood of the day, or what we consider as an OOTD. There are different kinds of style that casual attire has such street-style, feminine style, manly style, and the like. In today’s popular trend, most of the 21st century people able to appreciate the clothing style that is inspired from the social media. The people able to bring back the past clothing outfits like bohemian outfit. Some of the people are able to inspire from the international clothing style that will become even more popular locally and internationally. Today’s fashion trend affects the people around the world to inspire the people in having ideas when it comes to fashion.

Like Pop Culture, it continues to evolve over time as it continues to exist and thus results to various trends in fashion that have became popular to different generations of people. Trends such as the classy look, boho look and other aesthetics have become popular overtime. People have become creative in making new looks in order to become cool or hip and trendy in fashion yet the way they do it are different in many ways. Some chose to buy products from popular brands for the quality that those brands produce. Some chose to buy from cheap retail stores or in the Philippines, "ukayukay", in order to find diamonds in the rough and own the look. To buy from branded stores would mean that you will be able to buy the latest fashion look but it won't guarantee if you look amazing on those clothes or fit for the clothes and also the sacrifices to your wallet that you have to make.
Meanwhile, to buy from cheap stores or ukay-ukay would mean that you can find clothes that are not necessarily trendy but you can make them trendy if you try hard enough although it wouldn't guarantee that the clothes will be worth it. Fashion has been know to produce beautiful creations but also unexpected disasters. It's good to have a good eye for clothes, footwear and the like to own a certain look or make your own look. Fashion is complete different on one's appearance. Style is also a main factor on one's fashion. They say the man makes the clothes. That is why it's best to own your fashion look in order to be able to adapt the various evolution of modern fashion trends.

Fashion is in the sky, int he street; fashion has something to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening." Fashion is indeed a form of art that we use to express ourselves. Fashion generates in time and is used over time. That is why we have come up with a fashion magazine to help fashion aspirants in choosing fashion styles.
