Bring the family Home of the RCMP There is a lot to anticipate this year, including several new exhibits at the RCMP Heritage Centre—the museum that brings to life the oldest and most iconic stories of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police! First, put yourself in the high browns of an RCMP cadet with the use of HoloLens mixed-reality glasses. Get your dorm room ready for inspection under the guidance and watchful eye of the Sergeant Major. Second, learn what it takes to drive a police car in their new Driving Simulator. In recognition of Canada's 150th Anniversary, the RCMP Heritage Centre presents their feature exhibition for 2017 Building Better Partnerships: The RCMP and Canada's First Peoples. The exhibition explores the history of First Nations peoples and the Mounted Police. Included is the early relationship of NWMP Commissioner Macleod and Blackfoot Chief Crowfoot, the key role of Métis guides and scouts, the vital partnership with Inuit Special Constables in Canada's North, and First Nations as Regular Members today.

I never like doing the same thing twice. Change is my best friend so I’m always getting distracted, shunning routine, and, ultimately, trying new things.

Here you'll find authentic East Indian recipes and great customer service. Only have a moment? Pop into Italian Star Deli on Victoria Avenue. This local favourite actually holds the #1 spot and has been passed down through the generations. You'll truly feel like a long, lost relative in this welcoming deli. Try some of their homemade tiramisu, Italian dressing, pesto and a concoction called “La Bomba,” a mix of banana peppers, jalapenos and crushed chili peppers in oil. Bold for the senses Food and Sights Regina's local food scene is unlike any other. After a busy day of exploring, you must be hungry! Head to downtown Regina, hit up several original restaurants and spark up a conversation with a local. Don’t forget to take home a tasty treat or two from the Regina Farmers’ Market, which takes place at City Square Plaza twice a week. Or try heading out of town to pick some fresh berries, or explore local distilleries.

Its small town charm will have you indulging in a slice of organic prairie cherry pie, sipping a locally distilled cocktail, or bringing home fresh crisp vegetables from the garden. At Over the Hill Orchards, learn how science has allowed this Saskatchewan based, award-winning orchard to grow fruit not native to the region. Stay for a slice of gluten free prairie cherry pie or taste the newly launched fruit wine. Also, take a tour of Saskatchewan’s first microdistillery, Last Mountain Distillery, and get an inside look at the intricate process.
