The weekend last month screened films made in Sussex and by Sussex filmmakers, including two films made by students from Zylo Film School.

The Moo Man, a film about local Hailsham Dairy farmer Steve Hook was shown as part of the festival, along with Adventure Boyz, directed by local man Howard Ford, and Rocketman, edited by our head judge Chris Dickens, exHailsham resident and Hailsham school pupil. Amongst the judging panel was local artist and composer Simon Woodgate.

Q&A sessions were held after each of these films, giving the audience an opportunity to talk to the filmmakers and ask them questions as to how and why the films were made. Chris Dickens even brought his Oscar along to show the audience and gave them the opportunity to hold it.
