TYPES OF AID There are many different options for meeting need:
Merit scholarships Four-year undergraduate merit scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement. Students do not need to apply separately for a merit scholarship and are informed of their award at the time of their acceptance.
Grant programs Students who qualify may be awarded need-based federal and state grants. Students must complete the FAFSA to determine eligibility. These do not need to be repaid and include Federal Pell Grants, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants, MASS Grants, and other State Scholarships.
Federal loan programs Unlike grants and scholarships, loans must be repaid. Students must complete the FAFSA to be eligible. Types of loans available include Direct Subsidized Loans, Direct Unsubsidized, and Direct PLUS (Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students).
Work-study Students can earn money on campus through Federal Work-Study (FWS). Sample work study jobs include: giving campus tours, working on graphic design, and providing multimedia support in our Information Services department. Earnings from these programs are not deducted from semester bills, but help students pay for expenses they might incur during college. Students must complete the FAFSA to be eligible.
REGIS PROGRAMS AND SCHOLARSHIPS Regis has several special scholarship programs. Students may be eligible for additional aid. Learn more at regiscollege.edu/scholarships
