Sport Management Learn about complex issues in the sport industry and turn your passion for sports into a career. Sport management students explore dynamic relationships between sports, culture, and society. Examine different sports organizations at the high school, college, and professional level and uncover legal and business issues facing the sports world. The program exposes students to a variety of careers in the world of athletics and sport, as well as prepares students for further study at the graduate level. Regis sport management graduates are employed in fields such as athletic administration, coaching, eSports, event management, professional sport, and sport marketing.
Therapeutic Recreation Therapeutic recreation, also known as recreational therapy, uses specific treatments to meet an individual’s unique physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs. Following the guidelines set by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation (NCTRC), students will learn how
to assist individuals with disabilities, injuries, or illness pursue leisure and recreational activities to improve personal health and well-being. Students will learn assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation techniques specific to the therapeutic recreation process. By completing this program, students will have met all educational requirements to be certified by NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
