Head Coach Nick Frasersmith

Nick‘s coaching career started in the early 1980s and, through the years, he has coached Junior National Champions, State Champions, Swimmers of the Year, Junior National and Senior National qualifiers along with Olympic Trial qualifiers. Prior to becoming head coach in 2014, Nick was an assistant coach for the boys team since 1985. He has been the girls swim & dive head coach from 2003 to the present. Over the years, he was selected as National Girls‘ High School Coach of the year in 2013 and The Denver Post Colorado High School Girls‘ Coach of the Year in 2007, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015. In his first year as head coach for the boys, Nick was named The Denver Post Colorado High School Boys‘ Coach of the Year.

Assistant Coach Billy Willson

Billy was a high school state champion in 50 free (1994) in Mandan, ND as well as a Junior Nationals qualifier (1995). Swimming in college at John Brown University, he was a four time NAIA national qualifier. Billy has been teaching science at Regis Jesuit for 21 years and has been an assistant coach for 19 years. Married to Kathleen, also a science teacher at Regis Jesuit (girls division), they have two kids: Ellie, 12, and Ian, 10.

Assistant Coach Chris O‘Sullivan ‘93

Chris swam for Regis Jesuit HS from 1991- 93 and was a member of Regis Jesuit‘s first two State Championship teams. He went on to swim at Purdue University and has won multiple National Championships in Masters Swimming while continuing to compete. Chris and his wife Lainie have a son, Jack and a daughter, Elodie. He is co-founder of Brothers BBQ and Nuggs Ice Cream in the Park Hill neighborhood.

Assistant Coach Kristin Repaci

Kristin grew up in Boise, ID, swimming competitively for the YMCA, Meridian Summer League, and Mountain View High School. After high school, Kristin enjoyed swimming with a club team at Vanderbilt University. She moved to Denver to begin her teaching career in 2013. Kristin teaches mathematics in the Boys Division at Regis Jesuit. During the summer, you can find her at the pool coaching the Stapleton Stingrays.

Assistant Coach Jay Kim '08

Jay Kim is a 2008 graduate of Regis Jesuit High School. Jay was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea and attended Regis Jesuit HS where he won eight state golds, achieved two State records and was an 18-time All-American and Colorado High School Swimmer of the Year his senior year. Jay went to college at Drury University in Missouri and swam for the Mens team from 2008 to 2011. He was All-American for four years and set the NCAA Division II record in 200 Butterfly. He won more than seven individual titles and was MVP of the meet at the 2011 NCAA Division II Championship. Jay swam professionally back in Korea and finished his Masters in Sports Fitness and Management at Missouri Western State University. He has been an assistant coach at Denver Swim Academy for 2 years. His coaching philosophy is to teach swimmers life lessons about hard work and dedication in practice because “hard work always pays off.” Give your best and set goals for your achievement. More importantly, have fun and respect and love your teammates.

Dive Coach Taylor Roberts

Taylor was an elite-level gymnast who turned to diving after numerous injuries. Diving for Smoky Hill High School, he set a State record of 521.60 (11 dives) and school records in both six and eleven dive categories. As a junior, Coach Taylor was the Colorado 5A state champion. Following high school, Taylor had a successful career diving at Indiana University. Taylor works for Tri-County Health as a Chronic Disease Prevention Coordinator. He lives in Aurora with his wife, Mandy and children, Olivia and Elliott.
