Head Coach

NICK FRASERSMITH

Nick's coaching career started in the early 1980s . Through the years, he has coached Junior National Champions, State Champions, Swimmers of the Year, Junior National and Senior National qualifiers along with Olympic Trial qualifiers. Nick has been the Girls Swim & Dive head coach from 2003 to the present . Over the years, he was selected as National Girls' High School Coach of the year in 2013 and The Denver Post Colorado High School Girls' Coach of the Year in 2007, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015 . Nick is also head coach for the RJ Boys Swim & Dive Team .

KIM HAGGER

Kim is returning to coach diving after a seven year hiatus! She first started diving at the University of Northern Colorado where she tried out for the team when the gymnastics program was cut. After her freshman year, she transferred to CSU and finished out her diving career. She began coaching at Douglas County High School and Kent Denver in 1998. She was Regis Jesuit’s first diving coach from 2005-2015 . Kim was the CHSAA 5A Diving Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2015 before she retired to focus on other opportunities and see her two kids, Keegan and Riley, successfully off to college. During her break from coaching, she competed in CrossFit finishing 9th in the world in her age group at the CrossFit Games in 2017 . Kim lives in Castle Rock and works for Haselden Construction as the Director of Business Integration where she oversees the IT, data analytics and process change for the company.

BRIAN DAVENPORT '04

Brian graduated from Regis Jesuit in 2004 as a four-year varsity swimmer . He has served as both the assistant and head coach for the Virginia Vale Swim Team from 2004 to present . During his tenure with Virginia Vale, the team has earned eleven continuous state titles. Coach Davenport has been the Regis Jesuit Girls assistant coach since 2007 . Brian teaches English in the Regis Jesuit Girls Division .

Assistant Coach JAY KIM '08

Jay Kim is a 2008 graduate of Regis Jesuit High School . Jay was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea and attended Regis Jesuit HS where he was a four-year varsity swimmer . He set a state record in 200IM his senior year . Jay went to college at Drury University in Missouri and swam for the Mens team from 2008 to 2011 . He was All-American for four years and set the NCAA Division II record in 200 Butterfly. He won more than seven individual titles and was MVP of the meet at the 2011 NCAA Division II Championship . Jay swam professionally back in Korea and finished his Masters in Sports Fitness and Management at Missouri Western State University . He has been an assistant coach at Denver Swim Academy for three years . His coaching philosophy is to teach swimmers life lessons about hard work and dedication in practice because “hard work always pays off.” Give your best and set goals for your achievement . More importantly, have fun and respect and love your teammates .

VICTORIA TORMENTI

Victoria has been in competitive swimming since she was eight years old . She swam in South Carolina for four years, and then moved to Raleigh, North Carolina and swam for the Marlins of Raleigh until her senior year of high school. Victoria continued her swim career at Wingate University where she was a team captain her senior year . Victoria began coaching while in college as an assistant coach for the Wingate Aqua-Dogs (2012-2015). After graduating, Victoria continued her coaching career in North Carolina until she moved to Colorado and became head coach of Lifetime Swim Colorado from 2017-2019. Victoria received her certification in Personal Training specializing in mobility and strength conditioning for athletes . In 2020-2021 she was back in North Carolina and coaching with Mecklenberg Swim Association as the 14 and under lead coach . She has coached numerous state champions, sectional, zone and futures qualifiers. When she’s not on deck, Victoria loves to paint, draw and spend time outdoors with her family.
