AURORA HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION (AHPC) Minutes May 15, 2012 CALL TO ORDER: Chair Cynthia Bean opened the meeting and noted that all members were present. ROLL CALL Present: Cynthia Bean Kevin Bean Brett Fehrman Chris Powell Cindy Rottinghaus Jo Ann Ruehl Kent Abraham – Staff Rick Grubbs - Code Enforcement Officer Press was represented by Chandra Mattingly Upon motion by Ruehl, seconded by K. Bean, the April 17, 2012 minutes were approved as presented. Cynthia Bean noted with regret that Abraham has resigned from Historic Landmarks, and that this was his last meeting with the Commission. We all appreciate all the work he has done for Aurora in the past 6+ years. Thank you, Kent, and good luck in your future endeavors. COA REVIEW: There were no COAs for review HEARING OF VISITORS: There were no visitors. OLD BUSINESS: There was no Old Business. NEW BUSINESS: Abraham had no answer as to how Historic Landmarks plans to fill his position, or when. The contract for a Commission Assistant needs to be re-done. OTHER BUSINESS Grubbs observed that by tomorrow afternoon we may be able to SEE the building at 313 Fourth Street. A potential purchaser wants the vegetation removed.
