Peters advised that the pool manager says the pool is all ready to open. The requirements for Handicap access have been pushed back to September, after the pool closes for the year. Peters also observed that the 5-Year Plan needs to be updated to address the need to grind off and paint the pool bottom. The new scoreboard for the Little League is in and looks good. The STOP sign is place at the Park Avenue site; the speed limit sign and other warning signs are in. Debbie Peters asked what could be put in on the hillside at the entrance to the Soccer Fields that would require little maintenance. C. Rottinghaus suggested using native grasses, etc. with a sign indicating what they are. Debbie will talk with Paul Seymour about the proper way to install the flag pole, so that we can move the flag pole that has been sitting in the Utilities storage barn. Debbie asked about the black plastic fencing with rocks to hold it down. Mike Peters says it is supposed to be cleared up before O’Mara is finished. Mike Crider observed that we need a “Bike Crossing sign along George Street at the current STOP sign. We also need markings for Bike Trail going onto the George Street Bridge. Debbie Peters will take care of this. Jeff Stratman advised that - the Lesko Park project is still on schedule for mid-June for completion - there will be 33 lined parking spaces for cars (including 2 for handicapped); and 3 smaller parking spaces for motorcycles; so there should be plenty of parking for the average everyday usage - we will have the parking area along Route 56 - the guard rail on the river side of the walking trail MAY be pulled out before the trail is blacktopped. Mike Peters, Debbie Peters, Donnie Hastings and Jeff Stratman will look at it and decide to keep it or remove it. Mike Peters observed that Debbie Peters is doing a great job keeping the Parks taken care of. Steve Turner reported that - the bathrooms in the Pavilion have been re-configured, with handicapped stalls. They are being painted today - a lot of parties and rentals are coming up.
