To Infinity and beyond: Jewelers celebrate one year and hope for a sparkling future By Michele Stegman Contributor Infinity Jewelers, 306 Walnut St., Downtown Lawrenceburg, may be celebrating one year in the city, but it is also a fourth generation business. Owner Michelle Gill grew up working in her grandmother ’s jewelry store, learning the business first hand. Her father also worked in the jewelry business. Now, if you go into Infinity Jewelers, you might find one of Michelle’s children, Alivia, Braxton, or Cazpen behind the counter, learning the family business. To celebrate one year in business, Infinity Jewelers, with the support of Lawrenceburg Main Street and the Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce, will host a ribbon cutting Thursday, Dec. 20, at 4 p.m. followed by an open house until 7 p.m. There will be refreshments as well as drawings for two $100 and two $50 Infinity Jewelers gift certificates. Infinity Jewelers offers fine jewelry including engagement rings, diamonds, precious and semi-precious stones, Seiko watches, chains, bracelets, wedding sets, a line of silver made in Italy, and much more. For an unusual keepsake to memorialize that special occasion, Infinity Jewelers sells real roses preserved, lacquered, and trimmed in 24K gold. At about 11 inches in length, the roses come in a variety of colors symbolizing various feelings
and messages. It is a gift of nature that can be treasured for many years. There are also rosaries and crosses on hand as well as Keepers of Light and Warm Glow candles, case knives, and toe rings and ankle bracelets. Infinity Jewelers also offers a number of services to customers including jewelry repair, watch and clock repair, engraving, special orders, and helping to design timeless pieces to a customer’s specification. They can repurpose family heirlooms, resetting stones or using pieces to create a new piece of jewelry. If you want some earrings but don’t have pierced ears, Michelle Gill can piece ears as well as sell you some of the many earrings on hand. Michelle Gill opened her first jewelry store in 1998. After moving to Lawrenceburg and taking time off to raise children, she is now back to her passion—owning and running a jewelry store. “I love jewelry,” she said. “And I love meeting people.” One of the people Michelle has formed a special bond with is Dr. Pete Zaharakos. “He has been a big help in welcoming us and is a constant support.” Main Street has helped to support Infinity Jewelers through their subsidized merchant billboard program, and through the coordination of wine walks and many other events in the Downtown District that

stop and visit. Mayor Mollaun, the City of Lawrenceburg, and Main Street do a good job to plan events and programs for the downtown, and it is growing
because of those efforts.” She added that she wants to thank all her customers for making her first year in business a success. For more information,

Highpoint Health welcomes new hospitalists to its staff Highpoint Health is welcoming new Hospitalists to its Medical Staff this November. Hospital Medicine Physicians, better known as Hospitalists, work in the hospital to provide seven-day-a-week, around-theclock care for hospitalized patients. Hospitalists work in addition to other hospital-based practitioners, such as Emergency Department Physicians, who also provide 24/7 care. “We are very excited to welcome the Hospitalists from TeamHealth to our facility,” stated Angela Scudder, RN, MSN, CENP, Chief Nursing Officer. “Currently, Team-
Health physicians staff our Emergency Department and do an outstanding job. The skill, clinical knowledge and professionalism of the TeamHealth physicians have and will continue to play a major role in helping our Emergency Department achieve and maintain outstanding patient satisfaction scores. Given TeamHealth’s success in our Emergency Department and their dedication to Highpoint Health and our patients, I would expect them to provide nothing less than a superior Hospitalist program.” All major tertiary care hospitals and most large metropolitan and suburban facilities
have Hospitalist programs to ensure continuity of care and 24-hour-a-day access to on-site physicians for their inpatients. Highpoint Health has utilized Hospitalists since the fall of 2013. “I am exceedingly pleased to be part of the TeamHealth Hospitalist program,” noted Dr. Ronald Cheek. “For almost 35 years, I have cared for patients at Highpoint Health, first as an Emergency Department Physician and more recently as a Hospitalist. Together, with my TeamHealth Hospitalist colleagues, I look forward to providing exemplary medical care and an exceptional hos-
pital experience for our Highpoint Health inpatients.” Founded in 1979, TeamHealth is a national physician services group that provides outsourced emergency medicine, hospital medicine, anesthesiology, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology hospital medicine,
urgent care, post-acute care and medical call center solutions to civilian and military hospitals, clinics, physician groups and post-acute care facilities nationwide. Through its vast network of service offerings and best practices, TeamHealth offers extensive resources and unparalleled
support for physicians and advanced practice clinicians. TeamHealth is widely known by healthcare professionals for its commitment to clinical excellence, as well as its emphasis on timely, high-quality care, patient/physician communication and overall patient satisfaction.
