The name of Prof. dr. Deby Vinski, MScAA, PhD has always been identical with the subject of antiaging. The queen of anti-aging Indonesia, as she’s often recognised, has spent years building her empire through several anti-aging towers in Indonesia, as well as prominent reputation around the world. Now, the Makassar-born anti-aging specialist is slowly passing her legacy to her crowned princess, dr. Natasha Vinski. The fourth-generation doctor in her family, Natasha is currently the CEO of Vinski Tower. She is also the CEO of Aero Queen, a Singapore-based helicopter vendor and now expanding to aircraft rentals. “Business is something that I learnt from my late father Ivek Vinski, and I have always been curious about Aeronautics. You can say I like wearing many hats”. Asked whether Natasha has always been interested to follow both her parents’ footsteps, she replies, “I’ve always had a growing fascination and interest in medical science throughout my childhood and even now, my curiosity is still growing because of the progress of science.” She further shares, “I have to say that my mother plays a big influence to me because of her dedication to the wellbeing of her patients, and her great role to the research and development in anti-aging and preventive medicine industry internationally.”

Yet, being a medical doctor wasn’t her only dream. She had had other dreams, like many little girls were, including something along the line of fashion design which led her to creating her fashion label “Foxxy” in Indonesia in 2012 while she was studying at medical school. But it’s her mother’s profession that won her heart the most. “My mother was caring and always giving. She lives to dedicate herself by serving others, and through her profession as a doctor, she seems to be able to channel her passion really well. I guess this is the reason why I aspire to be a doctor, just like my mother,” she reasons. A valedictorian, a top-of-the-class graduate and currently an MBA candidate, Natasha has never doubt that she would step out as an entrepreneur. “As an entrepreneur, my biggest influencers are both my mother and father. They are both successful entrepreneurs and they are the ones who taught me to become the person I am today. However, I will not limit myself as an aesthetic doctor and anti-aging specialist,” she says. She takes it after her mother, who believes that there are always social aspects when you are a medical doctor. Natasha’s mother, Deby started her business with her passion and her dream to fund research in preventive and anti-aging medicine. A cum laude graduate in preventive medicine and stem cell from Dresden International University, Germany, Deby is dubbed the great visionary in this subject. It’s also worth to note that Deby is going to be inaugurated as a professor at Efhre International University in Barcelona, Spain this coming 23 June. One of her visions can be seen through Vinski Tower. “The tower is a symbol of today’s health with the stateof-the-art therapy in anti-aging treatment as well as the biggest anti-aging clinic in South East Asia,” Deby explains. One of them is Perfect Beauty, which offers a full range of aesthetic and anti-aging programmes with the latest available technology from around the world. “Perfect Beauty is only a small part of the multidimensional health treatments we have in the Vinski Tower. Wide-range of treatments offered in the tower includes everything related to anti-aging treatments. In the near future, we would be housing a stem cell research centre and provide treatments for stroke, diabetes, and other degenerative diseases. We also have a plastic surgery centre, teen clinic, skin care treatments, slimming centre, and many other treatments,” she elaborates All of these are currently being handled by Natasha, who is currently taking pride in Vinski Tower, being the one and only anti-aging centre monitored and accredited by World Council Of Preventive Medicine (WOCPM). “In the Vinski Tower, we bring world-class anti-aging care services as well as being a one-stop destination for anti-

aging and preventive medicinal care,” Natasha explains, adding that Vinski Tower aims to “provide endless opportunities for Indonesian and International doctors and health institutions to collaborate in the field of preventive and anti-aging medicine, as part of the contribution for Indonesia’s Medical Tourism destination.” How she could be so positive, one may ask, especially being so young in the industry. She returns all the credit to her parents. “I am very fortunate to say that I have a really close relationship with my father and my mother. Being an only child, I didn’t have the opportunity to learn from my siblings and so I always look up to my mother. She was always there for me when I was just a little girl, being a housewife, a mother, a business woman and a doctor seems like an integrated role for her. She does it all so well and it became my drive and motivation to be the kind of person that she is,” Natasha recalls. As if two large companies aren’t taking enough of her energy, the half-Croatian, half-Indonesian doctor also runs a her fashion line “Foxxy”, and a larger project which is expanding Aero Queen to Indonesia. Now everyone will wonder how she manages her time well. I will expand the business that I am running now, and I will let you know when everything is ready,” Natasha states confidently with a smile, ensuring everyone that she still has spare time to do philanthropy works, travel and learn archery. She established a non-profit organisation to help people on Rote Island, providing health and sanitary education, as well as public toilets and complementary medications. Giving back, she said, is a part of who she is. “Love Humanity NCV is a social organisation that I created in 2011, to celebrate our 7th year we went to Rote Island last April to share with people there. We gave free medication to over 400 citizens, and we had the ribbon-cutting ceremony for two of the public toilets that we had been building since February 2018”. She is glad that she can do her part for the society and she is glad about the enthusiasm of the Rote people receiving Love Humanity NCV and its volunteers with open arms. “I had 12 LHNCV volunteers flown in from Jakarta and more than 50 of others are medical teams and local youth of Rote Island” “My style of entrepreneurship is more about engagement and giving a meaning. I think that’s just the way business is supposed to run, we need to always keep in mind that we are supposed to make people understand the root of our business and why we are better than the rest, then we in the company have to make sure we are the best. In this case, the customers are the king. What can we do to give a meaningful impact towards the customers? Never ending improvement is the key” The business is definitely on the right hands.

ROLEX DEEPSEA Hyperspatial Limits

A divers’ watch designed for the deep, the Rolex Deepsea is waterproof to 3,900 metres (12,800 feet). Its Oyster case was developed to ensure phenomenal resistance to pressure without compromising the size and thickness of the watch. Rolex Deep Sea features a 44 mm case with redesigned lugs and sides and a broader Oyster bracelet, as well as a correspondingly adapted Oysterlock folding safety clasp. This professional divers’ watch is equipped for the first time with calibre 3235, at the forefront of watchmaking technology. The power reserve of this calibre 3235 extends to over 70 hours. The new Rolex Deepsea is made of Oystersteel and sports a D-blue dial with a deep-blue to pitchblack gradient. This dial was launched in 2014 on a commemorative version of the watch in tribute to the DEEPSEA CHALLENGE expedition. On this journey, partnered by Rolex and the National Geographic Society, film-maker and explorer James

Cameron descended 10,908 metres (35,787 feet) to the ocean’s deepest point, located in the Mariana Trench. Every single Rolex Deepsea is tested to ensure its waterproofness to a depth of 3,900 metres with an additional safety margin of 25 per cent. The Ringlock System, a patented case architecture, allows the Rolex Deepsea to withstand the colossal pressure exerted at extreme depths. This is composed of three elements: a domed 5.5 mm-thick sapphire crystal, a high-performance nitrogen-alloyed stainless steel ring, positioned inside the middle case of the watch, and a case back in Oystersteel and grade 5 titanium. The Triplock winding crown, equipped with three seals, screws down securely against the case, completing the waterproofness system and guaranteeing watertight security akin to a submarine’s hatch. to 7 mm thick. Syahlina Zuhal A Purpose to Serve Conversing with Syahlina Zuhal, the Chairman of Indonesia Heart Foundation, is truly inspiring. The elegant lady shares her dream to promote awareness of heart wellbeing in Indonesia through the foundation she had led for the past five years. She is in her last year as the leader, yet she still remembered the moment she joined the foundation back in 2013. It was with a simple reason, she says. “At this age, I just want to do something useful for the community,” she recalls her purpose. “I have always pray for longevity and the chance to do good to the community. “ So when she was approached by the previous Chairman, Mia Hanafiah, to take on the leadership, she though it was the answer. With the blessing of her husband, she served as the Chairman for Indonesia Heart Foundation for the 2013 to 2018 term. Syahlina, better known as Lin to her friends, enthusiastically shares her mission with the Indonesia Heart Foundation. “I had wanted to reach directly to the society. At the time the Foundation was doing training and counseling to schools and offices, which was also important. But I thought the counseling need was more urgent among the middle and low class society, especially those in small villages and areas outside the major cities in Indonesia. If every community groups or neighborhood groups have a healthy heart club, we can arrange counseling with Indonesian Cardiologist Association (PERKI).” The Institute of Teaching and Education Sciences (IKIP) graduate always encourages everyone to live a healthy life with balanced nutrition, stop smoking, fighting stress, blood pressure management and regular exercise. Under her leadership, the Indonesia Heart Foundation has done a lot for the community. Syahlina is staying true to her life purpose. She started by learning about the foundation, how they works and then she planned on where to take them in five-year time. “In the second year, I kept thinking about how to transform the foundation professionally because we have to grow.” She then worked with Universitas Indonesia to conduct a survey on the Foundation in Indonesia, focusing on the challenges and obstacles faced by each branch. The first thing she changed was the nationwide meetings (RAKERNAS). Instead of only holding a nationwide meeting once a year, she adds several local meetings in different cities like Semarang, Medan

and Makassar. “With RAKERNAS, apparently not every branch can apply what we had decided. So holding a more localized meeting means we can hear what their specific challenges are and they can understand what the Jakarta Headquarter expect from them,” she explains. She knew changes were never easy, but her years in organizational and leadership duties from when she served different Women’s Association alongside her husband’s assignments in government offices, had provided her with sensible decisions. “I had to be honest this position was challenging because you know that it’s hard to make everyone loves changes. There would always be someone who couldn’t deal well with changes.” But she succeeded. She took Indonesia Heart Foundation to set several records including one for healthy heart exercise which was held simultaneously in 15 cities and another for healthy heart jump rope event which was held simultaneously in 10 cities. When it’s not about work, the mother of three is busy with her art hobby. “I love painting,” says Syahlina as she mentioned Hendra Gunawan, Sunaryo and Pirous as her favorite artists. “I collect painting. When my first son was born, a friend of my husband brought a painting as a gift. He presented us with another one for my second born as well. From then on, we’re inspired to collect paintings. Our house is like a gallery now.” Family time means travelling time for this gardening enthusiast. She used to travel with her husband, accompanying him on business trip. But since he passed away a few years ago, she would travel with her sons and grandchildren at least once a year as a family tradition. Syahlina picked Japan, Switzerland and Vienna, Austria as her favorite destinations. Now that she’s about to pass her leadership baton, what’s in the future for Indonesia Heart Foundation? “We have the potential as the oldest and the largest foundation in Indonesia, so I hope the foundation can run in a more modern and professional way. We’ve done several basic steps like the revitalization and we’re hiring executive directors and day person for several departments under the foundation like the information and communication (KIE) or the program implementation (BPKJ). Right now those departments are only managed by housewives like me. So if they have professional staffs, I think they can be more successful.”

PASKAH NASIONAL 2018 Launching Celebration

Toba Lake is one of the top ten national tourism destinations, and Paskah Nasional was held to further promote the venue to local and international potential tourists. Paskah Nasional 2018 was founded in association with the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Religion, and the local government. The celebration started on 5 February 2018, from Tondano Lake in North Sulawesi through about twentyfive areas in forty days towards Toba Lake, while Manado Governor Olly Dondokambey carried the first torch.

Can’s Gallery, Jakarta once again exhibit the artworks of Oky Rey Montha for the third time on 24 February to 24 March 2018, which titled “Rhythm of Chaos” reflecting the current world’s situation related to social media. Hosted by Mr. Raymond Pribadi and Mrs. Veronica Pribadi, the solo exhibition displayed eleven paintings and four three-dimensional sculptures by the artist. Rhythm of Chaos by Oky Rey Montha Born in the art capital of Indonesia, Yogyakarta, in 1986, Oky Rey Montha is one of Indonesia’s new generation artists. He is well known for his dark and macabre paintings of the imaginary worlds, influenced notably by literature, fairy tales, pop surrealism, and music. Compiled with full color shades, but also in minimalist colors, his artworks are often a spontaneous response to societal problems of our days. In his own words, “Art is not about how, but why”. With artistic talent inherited from his father, Montha, who also goes by the name Kyre, became active in the art world since 2006. During his active years, he has participated in a number of competitions, which have earned him various awards. Montha has also taken part actively in group exhibitions and art fairs ranging from national to international level. He has held in total seven solo exhibitions in Indonesia, Singapore, and Italy. For his eighth solo exhibition, and his third at Can’s Gallery, Montha reflects his profound interest on pop culture, science fiction, as well as things related to social media. “Rhythm of Chaos” reflects mainly on current world’s situation - full of chaos and conflicts. As a part of the digital generation, Montha perceives the notion “chaos” not solely as something harmful, but also as an ever-changing dynamic of today’s society. Montha managed to project his anxiety, rooting from his observation of the world’s catastrophe, to his paintings. The darker tones

he chose, which are probably portrayals of the chaotic world we live in, are confronted to the silver palette on the background. For the past few years, he has been playing a lot with the color silver as a metaphor in his works. The silver embodies possibly the thin line between the imagined industrial world and imaginations of the future. Meanwhile, some of his other paintings come with more vibrant colors, like bright pink or yellow. On this exhibition, Montha also explores figures from comic books as well as his fantasy superheroes. Still in the context of the chaotic world as stated previously, it is possible that these figures are his interpretation of “the good” and “the bad” or “the hero” and “the loser”. Figures of everyday people also appear in his work now and then to give a break. Also presented on this collection were some of his three-dimensional works based on different characters. For the past few years at the beginning of his artistic career, Montha was consistent on portraying several characters as if they were parts of his artistic identity. However, lately he has been creating more varieties of characters, which he would then transform into three-dimensional forms. The exhibition held recently at Can’s Gallery, showcased 11 paintings and 4 three-dimensional works of Montha’s, with two of the paintings being the most popular amongst visitors; “Life”, sized 200 x 150 cm as well as “Combo” sized 150 x 200 cm.

Artist Richard Irwin Meyer was born on April 9, 1950 in Yakima, Washington. He graduated from Gandy Brodie School of Fine Art in Vermont prior to moving to New York in 1970. He started his artistic career in the Big Apple working as the studio assistant of Elaine de Kooning, followed by a job in the publications department of the Museum Of Modern Art through 1975. In 1980, Meyer opened a gallery specializing in African art in 1980 and started painting actively again in 2005 after more than 20 years of hiatus. He finally made home in a neighboring village to Yogyakarta from 2015 up until today. His third solo exhibition in Indonesia entitled “The Intimate Colors” was held by Puri Art Gallery in collaboration with ArkaArts Management from March 7-17, 2018 at CPM Building Jakarta. Curated by fellow artist Argus FS, the exhibition highlights Meyer’s artistry based essentially on abstraction. According to Argus, Meyer’s works on this series are majorly influenced by the social and geo-cultural conditions in both urban and rural Indonesia, with acrylic paint on paper, plastic, rubber, and canvas as the medium. For decades, Meyer has been exploring forms constructed on material discourse, permitting the audience to interpret his works on their own. As an artist who has lived in between the post-abstract expressionist movement and contemporary art world, Richard Irwin Meyer is still looking for new order of artistic achievements in the contemporary art today through his personal point of view. His paintings also do not include narratives as commonly found

According to Meyer’s perspective, the identity of an artist is viewed from an authentic, organic and original coming through intimate process of the colors. Indeed, recent works from Richard Irwin Meyer showcase how he is always

moving into new feeling and visual discourse through his paintings. It is no longer merely about form, but also about the time and space where acrylic paints interact with each other upon the medium. “The Intimate Colors”, comprising 35 works in acrylic, is ultimately a manifestation of Meyer’s artistic vision. Moreover, it is also a testament to how layers of acrylic paints could narrate a story on their own without being deliberately narrative.

This 200 x 140cm painting, titled 5 Adventure Boats with 8 Lucky People, reflects the adventurous character of the maestro who has travelled to many corners in 5 continents. While the 5 adventure boats refer to the 5 continents, Mr. Mozes symbolises 8 as the lucky number representing the 8 people. After the late Affandi, Mr. Mozes has inked his name in the history as the living legend who is still producing his pieces of art. Known for his impressionism style, Mr. Mozes has held exhibitions not only in Indonesia but also in overseas including in Australia. Another piece worth mentioning is The People of Bali by Antonio Mario Blanco (1912-1999). Born in Manila, the Philippine, Blanco graduated from National Academy of Art in New York. During his lifetime, he was obsessed with the female body and had created

various portraits of nude women. The People of Bali reflects his attempt to balance realism and abstraction through the depiction of nude women in ordinary circumstances. He painted this piece in the outdoor area depicting a scene where women are bathing and playing in the water. Meanwhile, Gemuruh Air by Sidik W Martowidjojo is another interesting piece to talk about. Sized at 67 x 135 cm, Gemuruh Air is water on Paper produced in 2016. The Yogyakarta based and awardwinning painter pours a lot of philosophical thoughts in his paintings. He calls his artworks as a combination of East and West. While the Western art is characterised by the aesthetic value, the Eastern art evokes its soul. The Western style focuses on the shape, sunlight and colours; while the Eastern style is centred in tranquillity. His East and West approach is seen in this piece, and he has produced over
