GOLD—AACN “WHITE COAT”
CEREMONY FOR NURSING
Regis University proudly hosts the Blessing of the Hands Ceremony for nursing professionals and students, in collaboration with the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, to support the Gold-AACN “White Coat” ceremony for nursing.
During the ceremony, participants’ hands are blessed and anointed with lavender oil, a symbol of cleansing and tranquility.
The unique pin presented to attendees by the Gold Foundation serves as a tangible reminder of the nurse’s role in “keeping health care human”.
The work of nurses flows from the mind and heart to the hands. Our hands, crucial to the healing process, serve as a conduit of our care, compassion and knowledge. This ceremony holds special significance for each one of us, as it emphasizes the scientifically excellent and compassionate care delivered through our hands for the lives we touch.
