Logos

Regis University has one logo, multiple signature logos and wordmarks. Using the correct logo will show a strong, consistent and cohesive identity.

Logo Guidelines The University logo consists of the words “Regis University� and the official shield. The logo may not be redrawn or reproportioned. Visual elements of the logo cannot be removed and no part of the logo can be reproduced by itself. The Regis University logo should not be tilted at an angle, but parallel to the edge of the paper. The University logo should not be treated as a decorative element and should be printed at 100 percent fill. The Regis University logo or a signature logo must appear on the front or back of all materials produced by the institution.

SIGNATURE LOGOS We use signature logos when distinguishing between colleges, schools and departments at Regis University.

NOTE: Regis University has an athletic logo, for the sole use of Regis University Athletics. For athletic logo guidelines, please contact the director of athletics.

Logo White space

Logo Color Variations

Regis University has one logo, multiple signature logos and wordmarks. Using the correct logo will show a strong, consistent and cohesive identity.

LOGO WHITE SPACE The Regis University logo needs white space around it in order to be seen. For accurate white space, measure a square box between the two horizontal lines. This box represents the amount of white space required around the logo.

LOGO SIZE The Regis University logo may not be smaller than 1¼” wide. Sizes smaller than this affect the logo’s readability.

NOTE: White space applies to the Regis University logo and the signature logos.

BLUE AND GOLD Blue logos are placed on a white or light colored background. The background color should show through the shield.

ON A PHOTO

White logos are used on a black or dark colored background. The background should show through the shield.

White or blue logos can be placed on a photo when the background of the photo is a solid color and does not distract from the logo.

NOTE: The logo should be printed in our brand blue and gold or white. No other colors are permitted. See page 18.

Seals

Seals — What Not to Do

To avoid any confusion with publications, it is recommended that the logo and seal not appear on the same page.

SEAL AS A LOGO

REGIS UNIVERSITY SEAL

The seal is replacing a logo on an unofficial document.

The Regis University seal may be used as a decorative element, a watermark or covered by a photo. It may hang off a page, but cannot be taken apart.

SEAL COLORS The seal has the wrong colors. The seal can be used as a decorative element in one approved University color. SEAL AS DECORATIVE ELEMENT This is a good example of the seal being used as a decorative element.

SEAL PARTS The seal may not be taken apart and used in pieces. It should not have color added to it.

The seal should not be crowded with type or competing graphics.

SEAL REPLACING LOGO The seal can only take the place of the Regis University logo on official University documents or presidential invitations.

REGIS UNIVERSITY COLORS

Gotham is a modern and clean typeface that is ideal for use across all printed material for the University. Gotham is used for headlines, body copy and subheads. This typeface comprises text and display options with each containing multiple weights.

The Regis University blue, gold and parchment colors should be present throughout universitywide publications and digital products. Utilize the blue, even if it is a small amount, to help visually tie back to Regis University as a brand.

Typography helps set the tone of our communications. The following standards have been developed to provide consistency while still allowing for flexibility.

Gotham as a tagline should be capitalized and kerned at a value of 80. When used for body copy, Gotham should be kerned at 0.

Script typefaces can be used on documents such as invitations and thank you cards but, should be used sparingly. Script typefaces may not be used in body copy, but may be used for headlines or as graphical elements. However, the primary typeface should be Gotham.
