REIC President Don Kottick, FRI CRES Appointed to CREA Board

The Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Don Kottick, FRI, CRES, as Director-at-Large on the 2017- 2018 CREA Board of Directors. Don is currently the Executive Vice President, Corporate Development for Peerage Realty Partners in Toronto.

On March 27, delegates gathered in Ottawa for the 2017 CREA Annual General Meeting. Also, the election of CREA’s 2017-18 Board of Directors took place. There were 13 REALTORS® running for four Director-at-Large positions, and we congratulate Don for earning his place on the CREA board.

CREA is part of a larger community of REALTOR® Associations. It serves the interests of 105,000+ REALTORS® across Canada. REIC Members represent an unsurpassed level of experience, commitment and dedication to all sectors of the real estate profession across Canada.

Gurcharan "Garry" Bhaura, FRI Acclaimed Toronto Real Estate Board President-Elect

REIC Member extends a warm congratulations to Gurcharan “Garry” Bhaura, FRI, ABR, SRES, SRS, Broker of Record for Century 21 President Realty. Garry was recently named President-Elect for the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB). As Canada's largest real estate board, TREB serves over 45,000 licensed real estate Brokers and Salespersons in the Greater Toronto Area. We are thrilled to see one of our Members rise to such an esteemed position.

"I never thought my journey as a licensed REALTOR® would bring me to this place, but I am humbled to be chosen for this position,” said Bhaura. “Thank you TREB members, colleagues, for supporting me as I fulfill my dreams and aspirations of being TREB’s first South Asian President of Indian origin in TREB’s almost 100 year history.”

Gurcharan (Garry) is a Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of Canada (FRI), Founder Director/Vice President with the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) – Toronto Chapter, and a sitting Board member of the REIC Toronto Chapter. He has served on the TREB Board as Director for 4 years.

Garry has heightened awareness of the value of REALTORS® and contributed to efforts in safeguarding and enhancing the Multiple Listing Service®. He also contributes to community initiatives and local charities such as Easter Seals.
