Organise, Simplify, Adapt. Carrypod is a unique luggage system, that allows the user to organise, simplify and adapt the bag to their travel needs. A modular ‘Pod System’ inside, provides you with the option to compartmentalise the items you pack and make it simple to access them when travelling. Liquids, electronics and travel documents can be located in separate areas of the bag for quick access and extra security.

Luggage Models. Final project development Working in card to model and test my luggage concepts. This was an important stage in the development process of my final project .
9
10
Organise. One of the main features of Carrypod, is the individual pods, that are designed to separate the items you pack to organise the layout and make accessing your items far more simple. Because not all trips are the same, the modular design allows you to choose the individual pods that work best for your journey.
11
12
Simplify. Carrypod is all about simplifying your journey, and with the laptop and document case, you are able to neatly organise your items in a separate, removable compartment. This case can also be removed to allow for more space in the main section, when travelling without electronics.
13
14
Adapt. A unique feature of the bag is the detachable base section, that transforms into a 25 litre day bag. This provides extra modularity, meaning the user only has to carry one piece of luggage during transport, which allows you to separate the compartments on arrival.
15

Logo & Brand Design. Logo and brand design plays a key role in all my design projects. I believe a good understanding of brand design is important when trying to communicatie your projects.

Stak.
The Ever yday Modular Lunch Box Stak is a modular lunch box, designed to divides and organised the lunch time eating experience. Lunch time is often seen as a short, less important meal, however with around 230 lunches consumed at work each year, it’s quickly becoming an even more important time to pause and enjoy a healthy meal, in our hectic lives. Created during the Coronavirus lockdown, I explored all areas of the design process from eating habits to digital concept sketches and final visualisation. Arguably lunch time has never been so important in our lives.

Procreate Sketching I find Procreate on the iPad a very powerful tool to bring early stage concepts to life. From rough sketching to applying; graphics, materials and colour to accuratly prepare for the CAD stage to follow.

Stak divides into three simple compartments; a larger base section, ideal for your main meal, a slimmer top compartment perfect for salads and dried foods and a water tight hot/cold aluminium bottle. Specially designed dividers organise and seperate food items within each compartment. Stak also features full sizes cutlery, housed within our treaded oak lid, to improve the dining experience. To top it off everything is held together with a cork padded nylon strap, perfect for easy transportation.

Don’t Spill Your Drink. As a group of 7, we had to design a set for hot drinks. The tea set would be served to First Class British Airways passengers, to improve the on-board drinking experience.
34

The concept focuses on incorporating traditional tea making by combining a vessel and tea cup. The vessel can be attached to the top of the cup to prevent spillage during flight turbulence.

Photography & Media. I have always had a passion for photography and media. I have tried to incorporate videos into all my work, as I believe this is a great way to describe a project whilst keeping the viewer interested. In my spare time I also run a side media business with my brother, creating promotional films for hotels, restaurants and tourist boards. Check out some of our work by following the QR code or searching for ‘The Reid Bros’.
