The fresh, clean, and inviting colors of the cool palette definitely cool down your mood and put you in a peaceful frame of mind. Blue, purple, and green are the stars of the cool color family, and their innumerable variations can transform your living spaces into refreshing escapes where you will breathe in the relaxing tones and vibes.

When incorporating cool colors into the spaces of your home, keep in mind a neutral base with cool accent walls can look impressive and make it easy to switch the shades and tones of the cool colors you choose. A neutral shade for furnishing and some impactful purple accents painted on walls in a bedroom furnished with pieces and fabrics in more purple, can turn a stark room into something magnificent. Lissa Talavera, general manager of Furniture Kathy Style, suggests incorporating cool colors such as shades of blue, green and purple. “These colors in your home can create a calm and soothing vibe. Variations of cool colors in addition to cool neutrals, such as gray, taupe and ivory are used where a calming energy is appreciated, she said. “The most common rooms in a home where cool colors are used is in a bedroom or home office, however, it can also be used throughout your home where a serene, relaxing ambiance is desired.”

Another way you could incorporate cool colors into your home is to transform a room into a monochromatic marvel. Monochromatic painted rooms in the cool color family can help people feel calm and can whisk you away to a tranquil place.

An “all shades of blue” bedroom or living room can offer a dramatic effect that evokes a chill modern mood and relaxation. Nothing invokes the feeling of freshness like liberal shades of green throughout a room.

Bathrooms in particular can be powerful when decorated in all green hues. Green shades shades bring about the feelings of refreshing, crisp, cleanliness.

Cool shades of blue invoke cleanliness, purity, and relaxation. Cool blues can make a kitchen appliances and accents pop. Bedrooms decorated in the cool color family work extremely well and offer a bit of cool dazzle where many of us spend most of our nighttime. Unlike some other color families, the cool palette lends itself well to any room.
