Team Expanded: The Commercial Finance Team has expanded to 11 with a mix of experienced Relationship Directors and Portfolio Managers
Portfolio Management team introduced Our Portfolio Management Unit was set up in 2023 and led by Faye McDonough Faye and her team play important roles working with the Relationship Directors to complete deals and manage relationships with our clients
Processes streamlined and efficient We have reviewed and improved processes from enquiry to approval then through diligence and completion At each stage, we have regular contact with clients, introducers and professionals to ensure everyone is clear on the timescale and outstanding items
Follow-up meeting We know how busy the period is up to completion when the focus is getting the deal done Soon after completion, we arrange a follow-up meeting with an RD, Portfolio Manager and client to go through key terms and information requirements to ensure everyone is clear on what is needed
Regular broker engagement Relationship Directors maintain regular contact with their broker contacts and are always keen to chat to understand the needs of clients

Reliance Bank hosted an exclusive roundtable discussion at law firm Shakespeare Martineau’ s Birmingham office.
The closed discussion aimed to deepen broker understanding of the challenges currently faced by commercial finance brokers in the UK The roundtable featured insights from Norman Chambers – Managing Director for NACFB and its role in championing intermediary-led lending, alongside Morag Davies and Chirag Mistry from Reliance Bank discussing sector challenges and outlook for 2024/25 An interactive session led by Naomi Tudor from Shakespeare Martineau explored transactional experiences in more detail
