How to become a sought-after Turntablist and Vinyl DJ?
with his hands.

A turntablist speaks
Even before the invasion of the Digital era, DJs were maestros in sound. They understood every subtle nuance of music. They could manipulate or restructure an existing phonograph recording with an audio mixer to produce a completely new composition. That required pure expertise and amazing craftsmanship.
PATSAV brings the Vinyl DJ Program: Master the art of Turntablism We have courses for experienced DJs from the industry and for beginners too.
To be a Turntablist is a dream. It spells perfection, old world charm and a high fidelity listening experience. Even you can become a global sensation and shine at international championships once you learn the art of Turntablism. A Turntablist handles scratching and smart manipulation of sounds to create short compositions. These creations are as original as the sounds they are based on. Scratching is actually a very good skill set to have as a new DJ. This technique helps you properly cue up mixes and with practice add some flair to DJing when needed the most. The term ‘Turntablism’ emerged in 1995 to denote the difference between playing back records and turntables to manipulate sound. The ability to mix two records together was one of the toughest challenges a DJ faced as there were no digital displays back then. Just pure skill, well trained ears and a lot of practice were critical. Fast forward to today, Vinyl DJing can be considered very expensive as Vinyl records, Turntables and the blend of subtle technology coupled with expertise to teach becomes highly resource intensive. PATSAV combines all these and more in our programs at a very affordable cost.

The Future of Vinyl Djing Djs spinning and scratching Vinyl or LP Records was quite a common visual even decades ago. The vinyls faded and were replaced by tapes, cassettes, CDs and eventually MP3 players. However in December 2016, vinyls made a huge come back. The Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA) disclosed that more money was spent on vinyl album sales than digital album downloads in the UK. There is a growing community of people that purchase, collect, and resell vinyl records. It’s no surprise that the Turntablists, the finest DJs, are here to stay.
Career Opportunities for the Vinyl Djs Sales of vinyl records refuse to stop exploding! According to data shared by BuzzAngle Music, vinyl record sales gained an impressive 25.9 percent last year, to 7.2 million units in the US. These trumped the revenues from YouTube Music, VEVO, SoundCloud, and Free Spotify combined. To add to that, there is a huge shortage of Vinyl DJs in India. Turntablists can earn big bucks with this classical never-fading away career option.
Why should you join the Turntablist Program Despite the swift technological advances in DJing, some things about the art will never change. Smart DJs know this, and try to discover and build on what came before them.
What are the skills needed: . Passion for music along with a ear for good music . Basic understanding of sound and recording . Creativity with sound and rhythm . Nocturnal body clock. Ability to stay up late.
