Seven Chicago-Area Brokers Named Among Top 250 Latino Agents in U.S. by NAHREP Seven RE/MAX brokers based in the metropolitan Chicago real estate market were named to the Top 250 Latino Agents in the United States in the most recent annual assessment produced by the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals® (NAHREP). Local brokers to make this prestigious list were: Robert Padron, RE/MAX Cityview, Chicago, who ranked #16; Luigui Corral, RE/MAX United, Wheeling, at #35; Jose Campoverde, RE/MAX Signature, Chicago, at #94; Maria Galindo, RE/MAX ‘10’, Chicago, at #106; Rufo Moyo, RE/MAX United, at #172; Ricardo Morales, RE/MAX Signature, at #208, and Karina Chavez, RE/MAX United, at #250. The rankings are based on 2013 sales activity. According to NAHREP, Latinos constitute a major percentage of the echo boomer (those born between 1977 and 1994) first-time buyer market by virtue of age, household formation and desire to own a home. Their purchasing power is expected to grow by nearly 50 percent to $1.6 trillion in 2016.

Chicago-Area Brokers and Teams Ranked Among “The Thousand” Most Productive in Real Estate Sales

Jane Lee

Eleven individual RE/MAX brokers and RE/MAX sales teams who work in the metropolitan Chicago real estate market have been named to REAL Trends’ 2014 “The Thousand.” This annual ranking, based on prior-year sales achievements, honors 250 brokers in each of four categories. The categories are closed transaction sides and closed sales volume for both individual agents and teams.

Jane Lee of RE/MAX Top Performers in Lake Bluff, and Matt Kombrink of RE/MAX Great American North, St. Charles, are among the top teams in both categories. Lee ranked 59th in closed transactions and 62nd in sales volume. Kombrink ranked 96th in closed transactions and 234th in sales volume. Also named to the top 250 teams in closed transactions are Linda O’Donnell, RE/MAX Signature, Chicago, who ranked 197th; Ronald Gersch of RE/MAX Realty of Joliet, Joliet, who ranked

207th and Marco Amidei of RE/MAX Suburban in Libertyville, who ranked 223rd. Among individual brokers, six RE/MAX professionals from the Chicago metro area commanded spots in the top 250 based on closed transaction sides. Robert Padron, RE/MAX Cityview, Chicago, ranked 81st, Ed Lukasik, Jr., RE/MAX Professionals, Bolingbrook, ranked 88th; Steve Malik, RE/MAX Professionals Select, Naperville, ranked 130th; Adam Stary, RE/MAX Professionals Select, Naperville, ranked 182nd; Sarah Leonard, RE/MAX Suburban, Schaumburg, ranked 224th; and Robert O’Hara, RE/MAX Synergy, Flossmoor, ranked 250th. RE/MAX Top Performers of Lake Bluff Settles into Expansive New Office RE/MAX Top Performers recently relocated to a custom designed, newly constructed office building at 28986 N. Waukegan Road in the heart of Lake Bluff. It is just a short walk from where the brokerage had been located for the prior decade. Established by Broker/Owner Jane Lee in 2000, RE/MAX Top Performers now occupies a 3,500-square-foot building that is home to 18 brokers and a support staff of 16. There also is ample expansion space for the growing brokerage. Lee played a central role in designing the new two-story building, which features multiple conference rooms and an open first-floor layout. Along with her award-winning sales team, Lee has her office on the second level. Lee’s exceptional sales achievements in 2013 resulted in her appearance among the RE/MAX Top 10 Residential Teams in the United States, where she captured the #8 ranking. In the RE/MAX Northern Illinois region, Lee ranked #1 among residential real estate teams for the 10th consecutive year, and she also captured the annual award that goes to the team closing the largest number of transactions, completing 596 sales. “Creating this new office has been a long-time dream of mine,” said Lee. “It combines elegance and practicality and gives all our brokers, as well as my own sales team, the tools and space they need to flourish.”

Her business model emphasizes offering brokers an outstanding support staff, including specialists in such areas as listing and marketing, customer care, closings and REOs/short sales.

Announces Quad Cities Expansion; Adds Moline Office Headed by Top Agent Rich Bassford RE/MAX has expanded its already strong presence in the Quad Cities real estate market by establishing a new office in Moline, RE/MAX Elite Homes at 1485 41st St. The office is headed up by Broker/Owner Rich Bassford. The 2,500-square-foot office space has Rich Bassford been extensively remodeled to provide a reception area, conference room, kitchen, five private offices and 12 workstation cubicles for agents and support staff headed by Operations Manager Kim Tuttle. Bassford, 42, has ranked as the Quad Cities top producing Realtor® in each of the last four years based on total closed sales volume. During that time he averaged approximately 100 closed transactions per year and was affiliated with a RE/MAX office in the Iowa portion of the Quad Cities area. He has now taken the next step by opening his own RE/MAX franchise. “With the Quad Cities residential market performing so strongly in the last year or two, this seemed like the perfect time for me to take that step and open a Moline RE/MAX franchise,” said Bassford, who noted that he was determined to stay with RE/MAX.

“I just love the RE/MAX system. It provides an ideal blend of support and freedom, so that offices and individual brokers can shape their own business, yet with the educational and technical tools and the brand visibility that are so vital to success today,” he said. A Moline resident for 26 years, Bassford earned his real estate license 14 years ago and joined RE/MAX two years later, quickly evolving into a top sales producer. He enjoys riding his personal watercraft, and last year combined that passion with his desire to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN), a national charity for which RE/MAX is a long-time sponsor. Bassford and Robb Osborn, another Quad Cities enthusiast, rode their watercraft nearly 1,300 miles from the Quad Cities to the Mobile Bay on the Gulf of Mexico, raising $15,000 for CMN. The trip took seven days. This year, Bassford is too busy getting his new office started and selling homes to spend much time on the river. “The Quad Cities housing market is notably stronger this year than last,” he explained. “There are currently about 650 home sales with closings pending, whereas last year we were running at about 500 to 550 pending sales. There has been a lot of interest from investors, who I’d estimate have purchased 400 homes in the area just this year. Recently, one investor I know closed on 36 homes in a single day. It just feels like the right time to take this next step in my career.” Bassford believes the current market environment will help RE/MAX Elite Homes grow rapidly. “Twelve months from now, I fully expect we will have 15 brokers in our office,” he predicted.
