Superhero screening success!

Not all heroes wear capes... but we certainly like to see our favourite superheroes wearing them! NE1’s Geordie Jackpot teamed up with Cash for Kids in May to deliver two exclusive Superhero Film Screenings for sick and disadvantaged children in Newcastle. Our friends at Tyneside Cinema hosted screenings of the Incredibles 2 - with special guest appearances from Captain America, Superwoman, Iron Man and Mrs Incredible! After greeting audiences at the cinema screening, the superhero characters made a private visit to the children’s wards at the Great North Children’s Hospital to meet the kids and get their photographs taken! Get in Gear for the Newcastle Nocturne

Newcastle is the gem in the North East’s crown when it comes to spectacular, sporting events in the city centre. We brought you the NE1 Newcastle Motor Show, we brought you the Siemens Boat Race of the North and now we’re bringing a major, elite cycling race to the streets of NE1! We’ve teamed up with Newcastle City Council and British Cycling to host the HSBC UK National Circuit Series, which will be staged in the heart of the city centre on the evening of Wednesday 10th July 2019. Newcastle has been named as one of only six races in the series, attracting some of Britain’s best cyclists including former Olympic and European Champions and riders. This amazing spectacle will be 1km in length, starting and finishing at the iconic Grey’s Monument - passing through Grainger Town, Clayton Street, Nelson Street, the Bigg Market and Nun Street.
