Bondom Social Community Center is designed right in the heart of the capital city of Battambong, Cambodia. This location was chosen for a variety of reasons, including the great potential of the area. It’s known as a developing community with easy access to the projected community center as it was near the main Battambong’s roundabout which can be easily captured by the travelers

Concept

The name of our community center is derived from the Khmer term “ /Bondom” which mean gathered or collection. Regarding our center, we want to refer to the collection of people gathering in our designed center, as well as the collection of historical patterns and styles of Battambong Province over the years. We’ve used a design concept from the early 1900s for a construction, notably the usage of reinforced concrete and exposing column structures to convey confidence or assertiveness. Our objective is to create an environment where a variety of individuals may feel confident and open up to new people in order to interact, socialize, and engage in a variety of experiences and activities together.
