Kind Words “Reminisce takes the time to get to know you, your style, and find ways to make you feel ‘you’ in front of the camera.” – Meghan & Mike “We had a blast with Reminisce for all of our shoots. Their aesthetic is astounding. I was constantly amazed at their use of light, shadow, reflection, etc.” – Jen & Taniesha “I never felt like they were intruding on a personal moment to take a picture, yet they captured them all beautifully.” – Cassie & Mike

Love Letters & Reviews

Claire & Jules When my wife and I look at the photos, we were so amazed by how much the photos conveyed the mood of our wedding. You could see from the photos that we all had a blast, and there was not a single missed moment. One of our favorite photos incorporated the reflections of the stained glass window of the church into the shot of our wedding vows being exchanged. It took our breath away.

Reminisce was great to work with for our big day! They made the process easy and enjoyable, not to mention all our photos from the engagement session to the wedding were absolutely beautiful! Not only are they professional and amazing photographers, we now consider them friends. Couldn’t have chosen better photographers!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Reminisce on several occasions and have nothing but good things to say about them and their work. They are always kind, professional, and a joy to work with. Their photos are some of the best photos I have the honor of displaying in my client portfolio. You can’t go wrong with choosing Reminisce to be your photographer!

WOW! You did a phenomenal job! I knew I made the right choice going with you because I’ve seen what kind of work you do, but you certainly exceeded my expectations. It seems like you got every detail, which brought me back to that day. I love how you were able to capture every generation, too, from family who are well into their 60s/70s, our friends, to even the little buggers. I laughed, I cried, and I smiled with delight while looking at these. Thanks again for your brilliant hard work in capturing what is one of the most important days of our lives. We can’t thank you enough! xo Amanda & Sean

Thank you so much for the beautiful wedding photos! Eric and I absolutely love the work that you did, it was so thrilling to look through all of the pictures and relive the special moments. My whole family can’t stop gushing about them as well. You have given us a very precious gift with your talents, and we will cherish it forever. Thank you again. Love, Dara & Eric

We were so happy you could share in our special day. You captured the essence of our wedding, and whenever we look at the photographs it takes us back in time as if it were our wedding day again. We will be able to enjoy and cherish these images for a lifetime. We have received nothing but compliments on our photos, and we couldn’t have done it without you. We hope this note finds you well. Thank you again for being our photographer. Love, Erica & Andy

About Us reminiscestudio@gmail.com | 414.405.6693 www.capturingyourday.com

About Miranda, Adam & Our Team: When we started our photography business over a decade ago, we approached it very much like a marriage. We knew that strength comes from teamwork because that’s how we approach our lives together. In fact, we’re so much a team that our friends call us “Miradam.” When we started adding to our Reminisce team, we knew that we needed photographers who understood that getting great photos goes beyond just technical abilities. We wanted people who wanted to be part of a creative, peopleloving team. We chose photographers who are as personable as they are skilled because we believe that photographing your wedding, your family or your livelihood is deeply personal! Each hand-picked member of our team is aligned with our vision for excellence in photography, but also provides a client-driven experience that is unparalleled. We know it makes a difference for our clients because they tell us it does! No matter what Reminisce is photographing, we approach it with a reverence for the memories we are capturing and the vision we’re creating, all while trying to make it as fun and stress-free as possible for our clients!

Frequently Asked Questions reminiscestudio@gmail.com | 414.405.6693 www.capturingyourday.com

What happens after you take the photos?

What makes your albums unique?

We meticulously process each and every one of your photos. Why? Well, not only do we take pride in our work, but we also want each of your photos to be its own work of art. Our black and white photos are rich in tones and contrast... dramatic and powerful. Our color photos are radiating with vibrance and are adjusted for your skin tone. We also work our magic with other artistic enhancements. Some photographers will only process their favorite photos, but what if your favorites aren’t theirs? You can rest assured knowing that every photo is a finished piece.

Our albums are one-of-a-kind, custom-designed keepsakes created by Miranda, who is professionally trained as a graphic designer. Like your entire experience working with us, our albums are completely catered to you, and we value your feedback on the design.

How do we share our photos w/guests? We host all of your photos online in a private gallery. We have the photos categorized by parts of your day, too, so that guests don’t have to painstakingly search for their favorite photo. We also have a full-screen slideshow option so that you and your guests can sit back and enjoy reliving the sentiment and fun of your day.

How much is your deposit? How do we book you? To book us as your photographers, we just need a signed contract and your non-refundable retainer (1/3 the price of your package).

Can you help us select locations for our wedding day portraits? Like your engagement session, we love for your photos to reflect your personalities. We will chat with you about any ideas you may have, as well as offer suggestions.

Do you need a shot list from us? Between both talking with you and thoroughly reading your wedding questionnaire, we’ll have a perfect understanding of your wedding day. Our questionnaire lists the typical group portraits that we do (family and wedding party), and you’re welcome to take some off that list or add some on. It also helps us find out if you’re planning a special choreographed first dance, incorporating special elements in your ceremony, surprising your guests with a fun performance at the reception, etc. A shot list specifying things like “our emotions during ceremony, speeches/toasts, first dance, etc.” isn’t necessary, as we love capturing every candid moment we can get our hands on.

Do you do family formals? We are happy to document posed photos of your family in addition to our candid approach throughout the day. We usually photograph you with your parents, siblings, in-laws, nieces & nephews, grandparents and honored guests. We will accommodate special requests beyond these, as well.

I have 1,000 portrait ideas pinned on Pinterest. Can I send those over to you? We work best when we can be inspired by our surroundings, by your personalities and story, the feeling of your wedding and the emotion of your day. Pinterest boards can be great at communicating a specific mood on which you’d like your portraits focused, but in general, we recommend letting us do our thing. That way, your portraits won’t look like everyone else’s, and instead, they’ll be totally “you.” If there are a few must-haves, however, we’re happy to accommodate (but with our own creative spin so we’re not copying other photographers’ work).

How experienced are you? Very! We started our business in 2007, and we photographed part-time for a couple of years before that. With over 250 weddings under our belt and this being our fulltime career (and passion), we take our responsibilities to you seriously (while having fun).

What’s your style? We love the perfect blend of photojournalism, creative compositions and portraits that are distinctly you. We’re fueled by genuine emotion along with your style and personalities. We’re also inspired by amazing light (whether natural light or creating our own dynamic light). Our photos tell your story as a couple, as well as the story of your wedding day.

For engagement/newlywed portraits, do you pose us? What’s your approach? Our sessions and wedding day newlywed portraits are a combination of candid and gently guided poses. Instead of forcing you into rigid poses, we get to know your personalities and suggest poses that you feel comfortable inwhether you’re quirky, romantic, edgy, passionate or sweet (or a combination). We also capture all of the candid moments that happen between the poses. This approach allows for the best of both worlds.

Can we register for our shower and wedding with you? You’re more than welcome to register with us! While the gift certificates that guests purchase for you cannot go towards your final payment, they can be used for any additional items that you wish! Guests love the idea of helping you out with your memories and keepsakes.

Can we get together before the wedding so that you know what to expect? We definitely get a good feel for your wedding throughout the planning process and our questionnaires (we have both a couple’s questionnaire and a wedding day questionnaire for you), though we’re still happy to get together before the wedding, if you’d like!

Do you have references we can call? We have a long list of couples who are happy to chat with you about their experience working with us. In order to make their lives a little bit easier (so they’re not receiving calls all of the time), we’ve created a “reviews” section on our site with a collection of testimonials. If after reading these you still prefer to speak with someone over the phone, we’ll definitely provide you with the contact info of a couple of our previous clients.

Is a First Look right for you? So what is the First Look?

The First Look is when a couple decides to see each other before the ceremony in order to get all or most of their portraits taken prior to the wedding.

How does that work? Some couples choose to keep the moment between the two of them, while others invite their wedding party and immediate families to watch. We’ll help you choose a great location, and you’ll wait there for your partner to sneak up behind you. After a little tickle or tap on the shoulder, you turn around to see each other for the first time on your wedding day! We love capturing the looks of excitement, joy and love on your faces...

What are the benefits of doing a First Look? A First Look is a great option for couples whose ceremony and reception times are close together. This way, you can spend more time together on your wedding day and really take it all in. This will also allow you to attend your cocktail hour, one of the main opportunities for you to mingle and have fun with your guests.

Doesn’t it make the ceremony less exciting, then? Not at all. Our First Look couples have told us that it doesn’t take any of the magic out of the ceremony. It’s still an amazingly special moment seeing each other in front of your officiant, family and friends. And the walk down the aisle is just as grand and full of anticipation… you’re about to get Married(!) and seeing each other beforehand doesn’t take away from that excitement :)

But I always pictured my parent(s) walking me down the aisle... Actually, you can still choose to do this and have the best of both worlds. We’ve had some couples choose to have their parents walk them to the First Look location and to their partner.

Wedding Tips reminiscestudio@gmail.com | 414.405.6693 www.capturingyourday.com

• Schedule cushions of time whenever possible to avoid feeling rushed on your wedding day. When working on your timeline, please account for travel times, bathroom breaks, etc. Feel free to contact us for some help! We want you to enjoy every bit of your day :)

• You and your wedding party will want to make sure that zippers and buttons are fully-functioning prior to your wedding day. Try everything on beforehand to plan undergarments accordingly, make sure everything fits properly, etc.

• If you’re able to coordinate with your venue on how to set up the ceremony, please leave small side aisles and a space behind the back row for guests (and your photographers) to easily navigate.

• Wedding gowns with trains should have a color-coded bustle to avoid confusion. It’s not every day that you tie a bustle, and they can be tricky!

• For outdoor ceremonies, consider where the sun will be before you finalize your setup. That way, you can avoid strange shadows or uneven lighting (the sun should be in front of or behind your officiant, instead of from the side).

• Plan on having some light snacks and water handy for you and your wedding party throughout the Big Day.

• Also, if your ceremony is outdoors, consider securing a lovely backup location in case of rain. If you opt for a tent as a backup, we recommend making that call the morning of your wedding so that if it ends up being a beautiful day, you can see the fantastic sky and surrounding areas.

• Chewing gum does not a wonderful photo make.

• If you plan on doing a fair amount of walking during your portraits (or any other part of the day), please let your wedding party know so you all can have comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate jackets, etc.

• If you’re wearing makeup, consider having it professionally done. Consult with your makeup artist to make sure that the makeup is photo-friendly, as some mineral based makeups can appear shiny in photos.

• You and your wedding party will want to break in your shoes ahead of time so you’re nice and comfy. If you’ll be walking on grass with heels, purchase some heel caps so you don’t sink in.

• Clear deodorant is your friend.

• Getting-ready photos look amazing in an area with a lot of natural light. The more room, the better. Have you considered booking a hotel suite?

• If you’d like your attire photographed before you dress, consider having a nice hanger ready instead of a wire or plastic one.

• If you’d like your finishing touches (shoes, jewelry, etc.) photographed before you dress, please have them all gathered in one place (it’s a great way to make sure you have everything you need, too).

• Fun/grand ceremony exits are a great alternative to end-of-evening send-offs, as there are many more guests to cheer, blow bubbles, etc., which makes for an awesome photo-op!

• Don’t dress too early (we recommend 30 minutes or so before go-time) to avoid wrinkles, spills, etc.

• To save some time, appoint a couple of non-wedding party people to gather items after the ceremony and load them onto your transportation vehicle while you enjoy being newlyweds, take some portraits with family and your wedding party, etc.

• If you choose to dress before we arrive, please wait on finishing touches (jewelry, tie, cuff links, veil, etc.) until we start photographing. • It works fantastically when you and your wedding party have personal items organized before the ceremony begins so you can all go right onto celebrating afterward. • Hiring professional transportation is recommended, as coordinating your wedding party to meet and park in multiple locations with multiple cars can be a challenge. • If you plan on doing a First Look or any portraits before the ceremony, please request your florist to have flowers delivered 30-min prior. • Ask your florist to deliver boutonnieres/corsages with two pins instead of one (much easier to pin, and they stay put better this way). Coordinating ahead of time who will be pinning is a big time saver. • Consider having an “unplugged” ceremony so your loved ones can witness you getting married through their eyes instead of their phones/tablets/cameras. Don’t worry, we’ll take plenty of photos!

• For family members who you would like in portraits, please let them know ahead of time so they’re aware that their presence is needed (and when). • Appoint someone ahead of time to fetch missing family members during your family formals. • For 200+ guest weddings, receiving lines and table-visits each take about 45-minutes to over an hour. We recommend, instead, to mingle more casually with your guests during cocktail hour and throughout the reception. • If you’re doing a grand march/announced entrance at your reception, it works best before dinner when it’s easiest to round everyone up. • If the only single guests at your wedding are your cousin, one of your friends and 7 kids, you probably want to opt out of garter/bouquet tosses :)

Breathtaking. Heartfelt. And really Fun.

We love getting to know our couples so we can creatively craft portraits that are distinctly you. And rest assured, everything from the look on your face when you read a sweet (and naughty) text from your Love – to your grandpa cutting up the dance floor – will be captured for you to relive again and again.
