Typography This font was designed for Graphic Project Digital Technologies classes. The teacher asked us students to choose a small object that would be the base for the project. Clipster is a decorative font and its name comes from the name of the object itself plus the term Hipster, referring to a group of people who appreciates the nonrecurring, not common. Many studies were made until reached the final form. After all characters have been created in Illustrator I used the FontCreator software to adjust them into a pattern of height and width and then finally export the .ttf file.

Clipster - Truetype Font
Typography Clipster’s usage is not recommended for long texts even though it works well in small sizes. As the examples aside, this font is very effective when creating materials that require a bigger size of the character such as posters, identities, titles, etc.

Graphic Design This project was part of the Three Dimensional Plastic Elements classes in my 3rd semester at the University. The briefing was to create a corporate card for a known company using pop-up techniques. My intention with this card was to promote McDonald’s delivery services to the customers. Therefore, I used as inspiration the McDonald’s hamburger boxes which symbolize the product and also the “McEntrega” brand that is the service.

Publication The following project has been done in my 2nd semester in the University for Graphic Projects Fundamentals classes. The teacher asked us students to choose a topic we are familiar with to create an illustrated guide so that we could train our diagramming and softwares skills. After choosing the guide format, and knowing that only World Stage presentations’ would be the focus of the publication, I entered Rock in Rio’s website and decided that both the magazine and the website should make an unity and dialogue between them.

Composition These are some of my works I do as a hobby and they are not projects for the University. My inspirations are usually songs I listen to and then try to express a message or feelings through images.

Photomanipulation
Composition This type of work demands an immense research for stock images with good quality that fit the composition’s theme. After that, the whole environment is built with different images making them an unity. Even though many images are used for the composition, many other things are digitally painted with the help of a Pressure-sensitive Tablet.

Graphic Design This project was part of the Graphic Projects Fundamentals from my second semester at the University. What I had to do was to design with a classmate thematic Poker playing cards. As my partner and I like technology, We decided to choose a Smartphone to be the inspiration for our project. Apple’s iPhone was chosen for its shape which is similar to a card, for its fame and also because we could create cards with the same size as the phone.

Graphic Design Our intention was that either the suits and the numbers looked like iPhone app icons and that they were horizontally reflected similar to a real poker card. We also chose Apple’s trademark to be all Ace, Queen, Jack and King and the difference between them are in the symbols as the male crown for the king, female crown for the Queen, a sword for the Ace and a hat for the Jack.

Graphic Design The following project was part of Graphic Project Digital Technologies from my 3rd semester at the Univesity. The briefing was to choose a singer or band for whom I would have to design a CD album, an advertising poster and a T-shirt. My intention was to create an album which would be an answer for all criticism Beyoncé has had in her career. Because of that, I chose Beyoncé’s Bow Down song as the album’s name. Starting from this idea, I made a mental map in which I wrote everything that was connected with “Bow Down” and that could be transformed into visual elements in my creation.

For the Album Cover, I wanted to transmit an idea of superiority, royalty, outrage. Because of that, I used a picture in which Beyoncé looks like a Queen and also brought some elements related to her husband, the “King”, Jay-Z and to the Hip Hop culture. The triangle shape refers to the hand gesture that Beyoncé does to honor Jay-Z which is the symbol of his company Rock-A-Fella Records.
Graphic Design There is also a “glove” made with a glossy finish where a triangle was subtracted from so that only the colored part of the album cover is shown. In the twenty-page booklet, each song from the CD1 has a different environment connected to the song’s theme and rhythm. All songs from this CD were chosen by me and all of them make reference to the main idea of the album, always linking to the concept of royalty and to urban aspects.

Graphic Design For the poster, I wanted to transmit sophistication with simple elements. Therefore, I applied a gradient similar to gold and also I used a classic frame for the picture’s insertion. The T-shirt print makes reference to the singer’s success, represented by the money, and it also refers to the urban environment, represented by the graphitti sprays.
