“To this end we are seeking financial support for a number of projects.
“I hope you find these inspiring, and I would welcome a discussion around any donations you may wish to make, no matter the size”

The Development of Outdoor Spaces
The College has a strong history in outdoor education thanks to a programme that stretches from Forest School in the Nursery and Junior School through the Rendcomb and Duke of Edinburgh awards in the Senior School.
We are blessed with 230 acres of space at Rendcomb and, in recent years, we have made increasing use of the estate for educational purposes as we see the value in nature for well-being, leadership and academic development.
There is now a need for an improved outdoor learning space and updated outdoor equipment. The learning space will be available for the whole College and will allow pupils to learn both in and about nature. An outdoor classroom and developed areas will aid Junior School pupils development, as well as linking into leadership and character education in the Senior School.
Outdoor Education area complete with outdoor classroom: £30k
Leadership and Command Task equipment: £20k
Air Rifle Range
As a school set in the heart of the Cotswolds, country pursuits such as clay-pigeon shooting is an extremely popular activity.
To help develop shooting skills and allow us to provide a shooting activity all year round, we would like to develop an indoor Air Rifle Range in the garages behind the Sports hall.
Indoor Air Rifle Range: £25k
Sports hall refurbishment
The Rendcomb College sports hall is a well-used facility that caters to a wide range of sports and physical education activities for both the Junior and Senior schools.
It plays a central role in promoting the college’s commitment to health and well-being. Due to regular use over a sustained period, the sports hall is now in need of refurbishment to ensure it continues to meet the high standards expected by the College and provide a safe and stimulating environment for students.
At certain points in the school calendar, the hall doubles as an examination room and is also used for recreational events.
The planned works will be for the refurbishment and repainting of the main hall, replacement of some of the older equipment, upgrading the changing facilities, improving the storage areas and refurbishing the outside of the building, including the fitting of solar panels, which is covered on the next page.
Sports Hall: £150-£200k
Potential Concept
Sustainable Energy Projects
Rendcomb College is committed to a sustainable future.
We are proposing a three-part initiative:
Solar Panels: Installed on the sports hall roof, these will generate clean electricity, significantly reducing our carbon footprint.
Electric Vehicle Charging Points: Integrated into the car park by the garages near the sports hall, these will work in tandem with the solar panels, lowering emissions and providing a much needed resource for our parent base and local community.
Electric Boiler: Replacing one of our current oil fired boilers with an electric one, part powered by renewable sources will begin our move away from reliance on fossil fuels for heating. This technology is currently in development.
These initiatives will significantly reduce our environmental impact. By generating our own clean energy and promoting electric vehicles, Rendcomb will serve as a role model for sustainable practices in the local community, as well as future proofing the Colleges future energy needs.
Solar Panels and Car
Charging Point with a 4.5 year payback: £45k
Commercial Electric
Boiler: £100k+
Sports Pavilion
Rendcomb College's sports pavilion, while steeped in tradition and holding memories for generations of pupils, may be reaching the end of its innings.
Years of wear and tear, coupled with the desire to provide modern facilities that support the sporting aspirations of current students, could necessitate a new pavilion. This would ensure a safe, functional space for Rendcomb's sports pupils to prepare, relax, and continue the legacy of the sport at the College.
Works to include a total replacement to more modern facilities with better storage, changing facilities, kitchen and team briefing areas.
Replace the Sports Pavilion: £115k
Bursary Support
At present the College has an offshoot charity, the Friends of Rendcomb, that raises money, in the main, for emergency bursaries to families in need.
Parents and Old Rendcombians are able to support on a regular basis by joining the 1920s Club or on a one off basis. Further details can be obtained by emailing the Friends of Rendcomb at: FOR@oldrendcombian.org.uk
