Big Corn Island 5D/4N The Corn Islands are two islands 70 kilometers off the Caribbean Coast, in front of the city of Bluefields. These two islands offer a superb opportunity to see the Caribbean side of Nicaragua in a beautiful and mostly unexplored environment. The regular ‘Caribbean’ features are all present: turquoise water, white beaches, green palm trees and stunning reefs and marine life. The islands are a perfect place to undertake adventurous sports like diving or sea fishing, but they are also a great spot to relax, enjoy the beach, and tranquilly explore the surroundings. Temperatures hover around 30°C year-round. Development of the tourism sector is still at its infancy at the Corn Islands, and the tourism infrastructure is small-scale and in its early stages. There are consequently many charming sites with great, personal attention, but visitors should not expect the same level of amenities and qualities as more developed places. For example, electricity and telephone services do not always function. The accessibility is quite good though, with several daily flights between Big Corn Island and Managua, and the more adventure-minded tourist can get there also by road and then over water. We offer you the Hotel Facilities:

Day 5: visiting the hill of Tepeyac and Manctuary of Father Odorico D 'Andrea Built on the Cerro de Tierra Colorada, the Tepeyac Retreat Center is guarded by religious images placed on both sides of 36 stairs, which lead to the entrance of the main building. From there, one can enjoy panoramic views of the city of San Rafael del Norte and the surrounding mountains. The establishment, which began its construction in 1976 as an inniciative of the Italian priest Odorico D'Andrea, who lived in the city and developed humanitarian projects, is surrounded by lots of trees and includes, in addition to the retreat house, a dinning room area, a kitchen, 36 rooms and private parking. National and foreigner tourists are allowed to visit the place on a daily basis, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, except when the place is rented for religious meetings. One can take photos of the city, sit on the benches or make a small tour around the establishment. If a tourist is interested in participating in one of these encounters, it is necessary to contact religious institutions from Matagalpa and Jinotega, since they are in charge of the arrangements. An interesting fact is that the center also houses the tomb of father Odorico (March 22th, 1990), who is a very loved and respected by the locals, since he developed humanitarian projects in the area. The Tepeyac Retreat Center is one of them. Holly Week is probably the best time to visit this city, due to the fact that thousands of catholics meet at Tepeyac and use the 36 stairs to recreate the viacrusis and its 12 stations. Hence, this is one of the most renowned religious expressions of San Rafael del Norte. We will take the lunch at one of the locals restaurant. Afert lunch we transfer to Managua. In the afternoon we arrive to Managua, Check in at the Hotel. Day 6: Transfer to the Airport, At the agreed time, transfer to the airport. End of our services! Tour for the reservation. Stay for 2 nights at El Arenal Volcano. In the Central Volcanic Mountain Range of Costa Rica, the Arenal Volcano is one of the country’s most famous volcanoes. Arenal is an active stratovolcano in northwestern Costa Rica, around 90 km northwest of San José, in the province of Alajuela, and 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) from the town of La Fortuna. Its 1,633 meter (5,358-foot) volcanic cone strikes an imposing figure on the landscape. Geologically, Arenal is considered to be the youngest volcano in Costa Rica; its age is estimated to be less than 7,500 years. For centuries, the Arenal Volcano was a nearly perfect cone-shaped, rainforest blanketed volcanic mountain considered by many to be extinct. However, at roughly 7:30 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 1968, the dormant Arenal Volcano suddenly and violently erupted with a tremendous explosion. Extreme eruptions continued unabated for several days, burying over 15 square kilometers with rocks, lava and ash. When it was finally over, the eruptions had killed 87 people and destroyed three small villages – Tabacón, Pueblo Nuevo and San Luís – affecting more than 232 square kilometers of land. It was a difficult time for the people of Arenal. Crops, property and forest were damaged, and livestock died.
