with: Eye Adore Shadows Try using one of the Spring Fling shades such as Blonde amibition and creating a smoky eye with a deeper color such as cookie cutter. Simply Apply Blonde Ambition to lid, up to crease and the undereye, about half way. Then take cookie cutter and a smudger brush and apply to the bottom lash line. Smudge out with a finger. It’s fast, and fun!

Beauty of brushes
Every artist knows that brushes are the tools of their trade. If you
don’t already have a good start on your brush collection, it might be time to start thinking about it. With so many to pick from it can be hard to determine which brushes are keepers. We have selected a few of our favorites that we can’t live without. More importantly, if you do regularly use brushes, you might want to make sure that you keep them vey clean and stored properly. Improper storage can lead to a bacteria stomping ground that transfers from you beloved tools to your face, which in turn can cause breakouts or worse. Keep reading to find out how you can stay breakout free and fresh!

KEEP THOSE BRUSHES CLEAN! Keeping your makeup brushes clean and safe is easier than you think
and keeping up with regular cleanings can save you time and your skin. Here are a few simple tips on how to prevent bacteria from setting up shop on your tools. 1) Never keep your makeup sponges around for longer than 2 uses. Sponges are definitely breading grounds for bacteria. They cannot be properly cleaned and therefore cannot be trusted. 2) Make it a point to give your brushes a light cleaning every 2-3 uses and the heavy duty clean once a week. 3) Can’t remember when the last time you used a specific brush? A good rule of to follow “ when in doubt, wash it out”. It is better to be safe than sorry. 4) Once you have finished washing your brushes, always be sure to lay them out flat on a clean, dry surface. Do NOT put your brushes away wet or damp, you are just tempting bacteria to grow again. Make sure they are 100% dry before putting them away. 5) Last but not least, always think about the other tools you use on your face, such as, tweezers or eyelash curlers. They can grow bacteria too! Always give them a weekly wash as well.

Two Very Important Washes
The Smart Wash This is the speedy wash that you want to do every 2-3 uses.
Here’s How: It is a good idea to always have a brush cleaner on hand.
This usually comes in a spray form, making it really simple to “ Smart Wash” your brushes. All you have to do is lay out a clean dry towel for you brushes to lie on. Next, take a piece of tissue and spay the tissue with 3-4 sprays. One by one, sweep your brushes back and forth over the wet part of the tissue, until the brush wipes clean. You will want to make sure that once the tissue becomes dirty, you fold it over to a clean piece. Repeat for each brush. Lay the brushes flat on the towel to dry and then store as usual.
The Formal Wash This is what we use to refer to the big weekly wash. This wash does take a bit more time, but is worth the effort of saving your brushes lifespan, the risk of bacteria growth, and the health of your skin.
Here’s How: You will need to lie out a clean dry towel to place your clean brushes on, a washcloth
and baby shampoo. Wet the clean washcloth and place a drop or two of baby shampoo in it. Lather up the cloth. Next, wet each brush thoroughly and place brush bristles in the washcloth. Massage the brush gently until brush wipes clean. You want to make sure you rinse the brush until there are no more suds coming from the brush. Lay each brush flat on the towel you have laid out and repeat for each. You must allow the brushes to dry completely before storing. The brushes will take longer to dry than the smart wash, but be patient and enjoy your clean, safe brushes.

My name is Kimberly and I am the current face of REP Beauty! It is an honor to represent this company. Like most other women, I have my regular makeup routine. A certain way I like to do my makeup and I tend to stick to that routine. Yes, I do try different brands, colors, and looks. So when I say routine I should clarify that I start with a cover up, along with a bronzer, and maybe a blush from time to time and of course always mascara. I will do my eyes and lips depending on the look I want. Recently though, I was introduced to one of the best-kept secrets that I have been oblivious to and have been missing out on! I want to share this fabulous product with you product…Primed(foundation primer)! Now aside from this product only adding an additional 5 seconds to your routine, it will also make your skin feel amazing! The product is light and gives your skin the smoothest feel. Your face will feel moisturized without any sticky feeling. I now wear this product all the time. I don’t go a day putting on my makeup without my Primed
first!

We asked Kimberly What is your skin type?
I have very dry, sensitive skin, I have my whole life. It is a bit of a struggle, especially in the winters here.
What are the problem areas on your skin? Even though my skin is dry in general.
I have always had exceptionally dry skin at the top of my t-zone. It is constantly flaking. I really have to concentrate on that area when selecting my skin care and makeup products.
After using the System for 4 months now, what are your thoughts? I am completely obsessed with the Primed(foundation primer)! I don’t go a day without it now, even when I am not planning to wear any makeup. It feels good and I like the benefits it offers my skin and I love that the system takes no time at all to apply. I am really busy and don’t have time to fuss with my makeup alot.
What must have products would you recommend for spring/ summer? I would have to say the top 3 would be Primed, Gelled Eyeliner, and Lip Lacquer.
The first time you used the Flawless Canvas System, what was your intial reaction? I was really surprised at the coverage and how weightless the products are. So many times you expect to feel like you’re wearing a mask with liquid foundation, but this foundation lets my skin breathe. The products work well together, right from step 1 to 4.
What is your favorite REP product right now? My favorite? The Primed for sure. Then, I would
have to say the Shimmer Pots, especially Iconic. It makes a great eyeliner when applied wet.
What’s your favorite makeup trend right now? I love the bold lips! That is hot for spring/summer and I
find myself starting to wear REP’s Lush Lips Lipstick in Dangerous when I want that look. I also really like the bronzed, natural look too! It’s nice to have another option to all of these bold colors we are seeing come off the runway and in our fashion magazines.
