Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia commemorated and reaffirmed their pledge to Grady Health Foundation (pictured) with a check for $250,000 in support of Grady Health System’s 2014 initiatives including a Women’s and Infants’ Center. “Thanks to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia’s generous gift, we can further support the new plan for redesigning the Women’s and Infants’ center as one of the top priorities for Grady,” said Renay Blumenthal, President of Grady Health Foundation.

Hydro-clinic (hydro-clinic.com) is now open at 3872 Roswell Road, A-3 in Buckhead. No appointments are necessary, and the center will be open seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.

CrossFit O4W (crossfito4w.com) opened in the Old Fourth Ward last month at 828 Ralph McGill Blvd. with a fitness expo attended by hundreds of residents. CrossFit offers weights, cardiovascular training, gymnastics, and even a women’s self-defense course.

Ezra is the last of a litter of five, and he has been at the shelter for over a year. He can be shy with new people, but he is a hoot once he gets comfortable.
