e Galloway School presents Honk!, a musical adaptation of e Ugly Duckling, on Apr. 10-13. Directed by J. Scott McNair, this musical comedy will feature 30 students of the Galloway community dancing, singing and acting. Tickets are $10. For more information, visit gallowayschool.org.
More than 150 Atlanta high school students were recently honored for their participation in the Regions Financial Scholars Program, a nancial education course designed to empower young people with the essential skills needed to make sound nancial decisions. Judge Glenda A. Hatchett, former chief presiding judge of Fulton County, was on hand to honor participants from South Atlanta and Booker T. Washington High Schools during an awards ceremony at Morehouse College.
Faculty, sta and students in the Clark Atlanta University Mass Media Arts Department recently met on campus with Russian journalism instructors and administrators (pictured right), as part of the International Visitor Leadership Program, which is the premier professional exchange program of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural A airs. Participants in the program examined trends in journalism education in the United States. e visitors also toured WCLK-91.9 FM Radio and CAU-TV.
Heritage Preparatory School has announced the appointment of Rev. Soo Chang to the position of Head of School. With more than 13 years of experience in classical Christian education, Chang joins Heritage from Christ Covenant School in Winterville, North Carolina, where he served as head of school. Prior to Christ Covenant School, he served as Director of Admission, Chaplain, Professor of Bible Church History and Systemic eology at e Cambridge School of Dallas, Texas.
