Kirkwood, BeltLine hosting wine strolls this month
If you’re an oenophile or just like to have the occasional glass with dinner, two wine events this month will have plenty to offer.
The Kirkwood Business Owner’s Association will hold its annual Kirkwood Wine Stroll on Sept. 26 from 6:30 to 11 p.m. (check-in time will be between 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.) in the historic neighborhood.
Attendees will have the opportunity to taste wines from around the world at over 30 pouring stations and enjoy the sounds of Beatles’ tribute band Abbey Road. Tickets can be purchased at kirkwoodwinestroll2014.eventbrite.com for $25 in advance, $35 within two weeks of the event and $40 at the door. Tickets are limited and may sell out in advance. The second annual BeltLine Wine Stroll is set for Sept. 27 from 1 to 6 p.m. The milelong wine tasting event will take place along the Eastside Trail from 1 to 5 p.m. Attendees will visit more than a dozen restaurants and businesses, from Poncey-Highland through Inman Park to the Old Fourth Ward, while enjoying sips of various vinos and discovering new venues along the iconic BeltLine.

Proceeds will benefit Friends of Inman Park and its mission to support phase two improvement projects at Springvale Park as well as the Inman Park Security Patrol.
