EARLY ADMISSIONS EXERCISE (EAE)
JOINT ADMISSIONS EXERCISE (JAE)
What is EAE An aptitude-based admissions exercise that allows students to apply for, and receive conditional offers for admission into their preferred diploma courses, prior to receiving their final grades. Who is Eligible EAE is open to graduating GCE O-Level students, and final-year Nitec and Higher Nitec students from ITE. Application Period June
What is JAE An annual admissions exercise conducted in January after the release of the GCE O-Level results. Who is Eligible JAE is open to Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents with GCE O-Level certification from any year. International students studying in a Government School, Government-Aided School, or an Independent School in Singapore with valid 2020 Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level Examination results are also welcome to apply. Application Period January

POLYTECHNIC FOUNDATION PROGRAMME (PFP) What is PFP A one-year programme that allows current Secondary 4 Normal (Academic) students to gain direct entry into RP without having to sit for GCE O-Level in Secondary 5. PFP offers a practice-oriented curriculum to prepare students for their diploma course. You will progress onto your pre-selected diploma course upon successful completion of the PFP. Who is Eligible PFP is open to Secondary 4 Normal (Academic) students who have obtained an ELMAB3 score of 12 points or better at the GCE N-Level examinations. The programme is also available to Secondary 4 Normal (Academic) students who have sat for GCE O-Level subjects. Application Period January
JOINT POLYTECHNIC ADMISSIONS EXERCISE (JPAE) What is JPAE JPAE is jointly held by the five local polytechnics. It allows candidates to apply for admission to full-time diploma courses. Who is Eligible JPAE caters to students with Higher Nitec and Nitec qualifications. Graduating ITE students in their final semester – including those in the Direct Entry Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP) – can apply for their preferred diploma courses through JPAE. Application Period February

DIRECT ADMISSIONS EXERCISE (DAE)
What is DAE DAE is a direct pathway to RP for applicants who are unable to apply for entry through JAE or JPAE. Who is Eligible DAE is open to GCE O-Level students, and ITE (full-time) graduates. This exercise is also available to holders of GCE A-Level, Integrated Programme, International Baccalaureate, and international qualifications. Application Period Till April

RP FRESHMAN SCHOLARSHIP This bond-free scholarship is exclusively for first-year, Singaporean or Permanent Resident (PR) students enrolled in any full-time diploma course at RP. Get a conditional offer while you complete your O-Level or ITE studies! Impress us with your O-Level prelim results or 3-semester GPA scores with excellent Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) grades, and receive $3,000 in cash once you have confirmed your place in RP! You will also be enrolled in the RP Leadership Programme, to give you a boost in life. Application typically starts from September to December yearly for O-Level students. For ITE students, application period is between October and January.
HIGHER YEAR SCHOLARSHIP This is offered to full-time second and third-year students at RP with outstanding academic performance and active involvement in CCA. There are close to 450 higher year scholarships available donated by a diverse range of industry sectors and organisations. The scholarship may also entail an internship with the sponsor!

EXTERNAL SCHOLARSHIP The world is your oyster when you’re an RP student! Besides the wide range of scholarships offered by the Polytechnic, you can also explore various externally-administered scholarships which are also open to you. These could range from an Alpha Challenge Scholarship to a scholarship from ZALORA. Check out some of them at the Brightsparks Singapore website, and pick up RP’s handy guide to signing scholarship contracts for tips to bear in mind.
PFP SCHOLARSHIP RP is pleased to offer applicants of our Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) a bond-free scholarship to cover the tuition fees. With excellent N-Level prelim results and CCA grade, you can skip the interviews to accept a conditional scholarship offer and receive $340 in cash once you have confirmed your place in RP. Get a head start in life too, with a place in the RP Leadership Programme as part of the award! Current N-Level students who are Singaporeans and PR are eligible. Application usually takes place from September to December every year.
EDUSAVE AWARDS The Edusave Awards are disbursed by the Ministry of Education every year to Singaporean students who achieve excellence in their academic studies and other areas. Given across the various levels and courses, the awards include the Edusave Merit Bursary worth $500, Edusave Good Progress Award worth $400, and Edusave Skills Award worth $500. Students who meet the Award criteria will be nominated by RP. 8
