Yusef Sadiq, wholesale manager at 253, shared their most recent product launches. The first one is Cake Crasher, an indica-dominant hybrid strain made by crossing wedding cake with wedding crasher. “The strain is a must-try with chunky trichomes, sweet scents of floral haze and grape candy,” said Sadiq. “This strain produces euphoric effects that make consumers feel hazy and creative.” He noted that this product has become a “well known staple strain” for 253. For 1g the cost is $15 and for 3.5g the cost is $50. Cannabis and sales tax not included. Pricing on flower may vary.
CARAMEL CHEWS
The second product as described by Sadiq is a staff favorite - Kosher Sea Salt Caramels - made with real butter, real vanilla extract and pink Himalayan Sea Salt. “These caramels are creamy with a chewy consistency that you are sure to love,” he said. “Our chocolate bars are made from the finest Belgian Callebaut chocolate we could source,” said Sadiq. 253 has a diverse selection of craft bars including multiple vegan options. “We are proud to offer the first kosher edibles in the state of Massachusetts,” he added. SOLVENT-FREE CARTRIDGES
Frank Dailey of Boston Bud Factory shared some of their most popular products, with the first being solvent-free cartridges. These Boston Bud Free cartridges are strain specific and contain only extracts derived from cannabis biomass. “Terpenes are extracted from the same biomass and then added back in to create the desired consistency for vaping,” and are some of the cleanest on the market, said Dailey. Dailey shared that their newest product is a pre-roll collaboration between Boston Bud Factory and Milltown Agriculture. “Both organizations are small businesses located in Holyoke, so this will be a great local partnership,” said Dailey. “Boston Bud Factory will produce and sell the pre-rolls using Milltown Agriculture’s craft cannabis, cultivated just down the street.” Pricing for

413 CULTIVARS
Lewis Goldstein from Insa said their company is “leading the charge to bring the highest quality, most exciting, widest variety of cannabis to the right coast.” He continued, “With the mission of making the East Coast the new cannabis capital, Insa went back to their Massachusetts roots and launched a new line of strains born and raised in Western Mass.”
Goldstein explained that all 413 Cultivars are Insa-exclusive strains that took years in the making, through a process called “pheno-hunting.” This is when expert growers selectively breed multiple new strains and narrow them down to the best variations of each plant. The first release included 413 Papi Runtz, 413 Runtz, 413 Ice Pop, 413 Razzberry Budino and 413 Concord Grape, all available in the 1-gram pre-roll format, retailing for $15. Goldstein said there will be more releases of these varieties and other new, exclusive strains throughout the summer. “Consumers should keep an eye out for these launches – they’re limited releases and won’t last long,” he said.
NEW STRAINS
Goldstein shared that three other “rare strains” recently joined the Insa roster: Jealousy, Zhits Fire and Lemon Mother Pucker. “Jealousy is an indica-leaning cultivar, created by crossing Gelato 41 and Sunset Sherbet. This delicious cultivar has a sweet, creamy flavor instilling jealousy in anyone that is missing out on it,” he said. “Zhits Fire is a mouth-watering, sativa-leaning cultivar made from a rare cross of Z, an undisclosed strain, and FAF. This delicious strain has sugary, fruity flavors — great for anybody who loves dessert cultivars.”
Lastly, Goldstein said that Lemon Mother Pucker is a sativa cross of Sour Z and Lemonade Oz Kush. “Users reported mouth-watering lemon terps with a slight cream on the back end. This is the perfect daytime smoke — good for hiking, doing yard work or anything active,” he said.
According to Insa’s Head Grower Frank Golfieri, due to Zhits Fire and Lemon Mother Pucker being rare strains, Insa may be the only retailer to have them on the East Coast. “This effort is a part of Insa’s Right Coast Revolution, a quest to revolutionize the quality and quantity of cannabis offerings available on the East Coast as well as educate as many consumers as possible about the benefits of cannabis, and fight the stigmas still attached to using cannabis,” said Goldstein.
