RIVER TAFF VIEWPOINT (£1M) The River Taff viewpoint was a joint project between Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council and The Environment Agency. It incorporates a fish ladder and otter ledge and is often used by the BBC to film “high river levels “ news broadcasts.

ARTIST LED INTERVENTIONS Catherine designed and delivered a series of art-led interventions which explored cultural symbols of meaning to the local community . These symbols were integrated into barriers, gates and railings throughout the site.

Catherine’s distinctive art installation within a new social housing area, draws reference to the site’s rich history, materiality and urban grain as well as the wider natural landscapes of Sheffield.
carnforth URBAN DESIGN a bold market town intiative to: give town centre back to pedestrians, find new uses for vacant buildings, develop tourist potential of station and harry potter train and redevelop former quarry for housing
CARNFORTH CODE Restoration of the setting of the town’s memorial and creation of new market square were central to the proposals. The ‘Carnforth Code’ recommend that all street clutter was removed, blank building facades opened up, car parking banned and a contemporary reflective water pool constructed.
Parc Cybi achieved one of the highest CEEQUAL scores ever awarded of 94.6%
Parc Cybi, Anglesey
Masterplan for a 120 acre business park in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The plot boundaries and road layouts were based on the original field boundaries and protected the setting of archaeological remains and the site’s ecology. The design required the construction of 5km dry stone walls, footpaths, swales, bio-retention ponds, wetlands, meadows and gorse scrubland.
