After the phenomenal success of Hotel Vive winning ‘Best European Hotel’ among many others, Link Hospitality and Cochrane design are again teaming up to open up Vive hotel Hastings.

Already opening 2 hotels in Menorca the Vive team headed by Sean Cochrane and Jason Bull have purchased 44 Havelock Road.

This unique product offers 48 self contained rooms and is a unique concept, which allows investors to buy full leasehold properties to be rented out to the bustling, tourism, corporate, event and in general the broad umbrella that is the short term let market, but managed and operated under the iconic and bespoke “Vive” brand.

The studio apartments are now available to purchase, enabling investors the potential to take advantage of this unique opportunity which combines the benefits of having a highly respected brand name, managing your apartment to give you incredible, hands off returns.

Despite the current situation with the all the doom and gloom, there is still an incredibly strong market when it comes to cash investments like this offers. With mortgage rates now negating any potential yields on standard Buy to lets, investors have cottoned on to the short term let market, which is going from strength to strength. Forget the standard thought of just tourism, the number of corporate entities that use home from homes for their clients and employees is going from straight to strength. Insurance companies are using short term lets to house people who may have to vacate their home for some time, same with chain-breaks in the housing cycle. On top of this you have the need for a High-end Hotel within the area. The event centre within the building will then hand you tenants paying great nightly rates on a plate.

HAVELOCK STUDENT STUDIO APARTMENTS HOLIDAY LETS & HOTEL VIVE HASTINGS

The building is being renovated in two phases. The first 49 units released for sale in February 2022 and sold out in just 4 days, with the potential of this unique offering clear to investors looking for high yields in a desirable property and location.

The Phase 1 units targeted both the high end student market and the short term summer let market. Phase 1 will be completed by the end of 2022. Phase 2 targets the year round tourism industry with short term lets offering a 5* Hotel experience. We are also providing sought after event space within the basement of the building. This will join Cochrane Design’s existing chain of award winning hotels in Ibiza and Menorca working with their partners Link Hospitality, to create Vive Hotel Hastings.

Vive Hotel Hastings short term lets will consist of 48 rooms, a bar and restaurant, events space and roof terrace. The rooms range from studios for 1-2 people to mezzanine apartments which can sleep 4. All rooms have their own en suites and some rooms have the space for a freestanding bath offering extra luxury.

A green wall is planned on the lower front façade of the building.

Cochrane Design has met with the local MP for Hastings and East Sussex, Sally Ann Hart, along with other prominent business men and women in Hastings. They have all given their full support to the project. Cochrane Design have also given a presentation for their plans to local businesses, council members, leaders in the hospitality sector and the general public, where the resounding consensus was that Hastings was in great need of an affordable, high-end hotel with a good event space. The project will open up various job opportunities within the local area. The student accommodation was also well received as it is widely acknowledged that a successful university would also be hugely beneficial for the town.
