OUR MISSION is to end sex trafficking in New York and restore the well-being and independence of foreign national survivors.
WHAT WE DO
FIND
RESTORE
We find victims of trafficking through our partnerships with local and federal law enforcement, the court system, service provider organizations, and local community groups.
We provide restorative services to survivors through our groundbreaking safehome program, counseling services, case management, and economic empowerment program.
How do we do it? We serve survivors with a holistic, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive approach in order for women to experience greater healing and independence.
Who do we serve? We serve foreign-national adult females (18 years or older) who are victims of sex trafficking or who are suspected of being trafficked. We serve women regardless of their immigration status or criminal history.
Can I make a referral? We welcome referrals from anyone who may be in contact with a survivor of sex trafficking or where trafficking may be suspected. We have received referrals from sources such as law enforcement, attorneys, service providers, hospitals, churches, and self-referrals. ABOUT OUR WORK
SAFEHOME PROGRAM
OUTREACH PROGRAM Our outreach program partners with federal and local law enforcement, the court system, service provider organizations, and community groups in order to find and identify victims of sex trafficking. Women are then connected to comprehensive care services offered by Restore and our partnerships with other service providers.
Our safehome program is a residential care approach to helping survivors of sex trafficking move toward greater independence and well-being. Residents can stay 12-18 months in an environment where their immediate, long-term, and on-going needs are met through in-house programs and partnerships with other service providers.
ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM Our economic empowerment program connects survivors to safe and supportive jobs. Through a peer-group model of care, each woman receives extensive life skills and job readiness training to equip them in their transition into the workplace.
CASE MANAGEMENT Our case management team advocates for survivors along their journey of restoration. We work with women to find safe housing, legal representation, medical services, mental health counseling, job training programs, ESL classes, and accessing other community resources.
