This summer, Restore One is blessed to have two interns. Logan Keziah studies social work at ECU, where she is a senior. Among Keziahs’s interests are: abolition, social advocacy and justice. She helped found East Carolina Abolitionists, an ECU campus organization in 2012. She is also a contributing writer for SocialWorkHelper.com. Keziah is planning Restore One’s first gala, “Stand for One,” along with other community fundraisers. !
With your help, we are expanding our ministry and reaching more people than ever with the message that slavery is happening now. Some of our summer highlights were: the launching of Men For Freedom, a men’s preventative group, the rescuing of a teenager that was trafficked in our area, and the announcement of our first gala with its keynote speaker. Additionally, we have received positive coverage this summer through various media outlets, like our cover story with The Daily Reflector, which amplified our message.
With the opening of our first shelter on the horizon, we would appreciate your continued prayers and support. The Anchor House is set to open in early 2014. You are truly a part of the fight against modern day slavery as much as we are. We can’t wait to see what the Lord is going to do! Please consider supporting Restore One through online giving, it is a safe and easy way to further our reach. Simply visit RestoreOneLife.org to give financially today.

Lizzie Menge
Elizabeth Menge comes from the University of Wisconsin where she studies sociology and global health. It’s been her desire to work in abolition for many years, particularly with trafficking survivors. She spent last summer in Thailand with trafficked women. Menge packed up her things again and travelled from Madison, Wisconsin to Greenville, North Carolina to learn about human trafficking on the domestic level. Menge works on prevention and education within the community.

Dr. Dan Allender !
To Keynote our First Gala
Restore One’s first benefit gala is set for October 10th in the Greenville Hilton with the goal to raise $50,000 for Restore One projects including, “The Anchor House.” Dr. Allender, a prominent Christian psychologist, is the keynote speaker for the event. Restore One is also honored to have Kristi Overton Johnson as our Master of Ceremony for the evening.

Restore One Aids Sheriff’s Office
+100,000 Anchor House Donation
An out-of-state teenager was recently freed from sex trafficking in Pitt County, North Carolina. Restore One, in conjunction with the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office, helped the victim relocate. The news was reported throughout the state, giving credence to the fact that North Carolina is in the top ten states for human trafficking. It does happen in our own backyard. The accused trafficker is a native of Raleigh. WCTI-12, a news station in Pitt County, interviewed Restore One Directors as experts on trafficking when the news broke.
We were blessed to receive a 100,000-dollar donation towards the purchasing of Anchor House. On behalf of the staff of Restore One and the boys that will receive care at Anchor House: Thank you for being a freedom fighter!
