EVENT MINI GUIDE
1–3 September, Gilwell Park

WELCOME TO REUNION 2017! This weekend is the perfect opportunity to recharge your Scouting batteries, to spend some quality time with friends old and new, and to expand your horizons. Like Scouting itself, the event evolves and changes. As we mark our 91st anniversary, we’re focusing on the practical elements that will help you create the most enjoyable and inclusive programme possible. The 2017 AGM is coinciding with the event - you’ll have the chance to ask questions, and to help us shape our strategy as we catapult Scouting into 2023. You can also pick up plenty of useful skills and tips in our workshops – covering everything from disability awareness, to safeguarding, to cooking classes - and speak to the team about gaining activity permits. As night falls, we have barn dances, pub quizzes and a Motown themed night on offer. All in all, an exciting weekend awaits! Do come and say hello to me, and to the other members of Team UK – lots of us are around, and we’d love to have a chat. As ever, what you make of Reunion is up to you. Whatever you do, we hope you enjoy every moment, and return home feeling rejuvenated. Tim, UK Chief Commissioner
