Smoking can also be another source of bad breath that can make someone you talk with disappear like a magic. Yeast infections inside the mouth which are common to people who wear dentures, giving more trouble to your breath. But did you know that saliva is a great cleanser for your mouth? Without enough saliva, food particles could stay in your mouth for some time and definitely a cause for bad breath. Don’t you worry about getting rid of bad breath? First, don’t slack off about brushing and flossing your teeth. Do this after every meal. Bring a travel toothbrush and toothpaste to work if you can, so you can brush your teeth after lunch. Oftentimes, bad breath is an indicator of a serious problem like unclean dentures, an abscess, gum disease or a tooth that is decaying. Clean your tongue as you clean your teeth. If the mouth is not cleaned after eating, a lot of remains are left which bacteria start their job and causing odor. Swirling water around the mouth after eating can take care of this such as after having a snack when the teeth won’t be brushed. Using a tongue scraper every time along with brushing the teeth is also advisable. What you eat also matters in trying to get rid of bad breath. Crisp, fresh food naturally cleans the teeth. This include fruits and vegetables like apples, lettuce, carrots, pears and raw cucumber. Such foods has antioxidants that boost health, including dental health. Another way to utilize what nature provides to get rid of bad breath is to use herbs. Chewing raw parsley naturally cleans the palates and gets rid of odor. Cardamom is also effective in fighting bad breath when used to cook meals. Sipping on black and green tea as well as herbal tea like peppermint tea also works.
