2015 Ministry Report
“AN D W H O KNOW S W H ETH E R YO U HAVE N OT C O M E TO THE K IN GDO M F O R S U CH A T I M E AS THI S ?”
ESTHER 4:14
Dear Friend, How much can change in just a year! When I wrote the opening for our 2014 ministry report one year ago, I could not have fathomed that I would be newly married a year later. But now God has given me an incredible gift and the opportunity to serve Him together with my precious husband, Robert Wolgemuth. This past year has been a time of great fruitfulness for Revive Our Hearts. We are seeing increasing hunger and responsiveness, new open doors, and stories of changed lives from around the world. Our Spanish outreach is burgeoning, with “organic” movements springing up all over Latin America. We launched an office in South Africa this year and began preparing content in French. We are receiving frequent, earnest appeals from women asking how they can get this message in their language. As I reflect on the great opportunities God has put before us, I think of 1 Chronicles 12:32— it says that the men of Issachar “had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do.” Oh, how we need that kind of understanding today—to discern God’s leading for such a time as this. So what time is it? It’s time to walk carefully and to be filled with the Spirit, because the days are evil (Eph. 5:16). It’s time to trust the Lord and not be afraid (Ps. 31:14–15). It’s time to seek the Lord (Hos. 10:12), and it’s time to realize that the hour is late (1 Cor. 7:29–31). In light of these and other passages, I’ve been asking myself, “What time is it at Revive Our Hearts?” I believe it’s time to pray, to cry out for God to revive hearts in ways we’ve never seen in our lifetime. And it’s a time for hope because we have a great God who delights in showing mercy to those who seek Him with all their hearts. My burden in the year ahead is to call women to pray for our nation and the world “for such a time as this”—to see God maximize the opportunities before us and spread the fame of His Name. How I thank the Lord for dear friends like you whose prayers, encouragement, and support make this ministry possible! I pray you will join with us as we look to the future and that Christ will be magnified through our efforts together. Believing Him with you for revival in our day!

indy Cabrera couldn’t see herself in the traditional roles of mother and homemaker. Her father had drilled into her that children were an impediment to professional development and financial independence would serve as her ticket out of a bad marriage. By 21, Cindy had earned a dental degree and began working at a prestigious dental practice. Ten years later she did marry a man—and even had a baby— but she didn’t let them interfere with her work. Cindy always said she didn’t have what it took to be a mom, so she left her son with a nanny and headed back to work a month after giving birth. Cindy was the leader of the home and the main provider. The pressure, however, was getting to her. She got pregnant a second time, then a third time. Finally the increasing pressure in their marriage, the power struggles at home, and the long hours managing the practice drove Cindy—and her husband—in desperation to church. While there, Cindy heard about a spiritual conference in America. She had attended dental conferences in the States, so she signed up immediately, not knowing that this True Woman Conference would prove to be the defining moment of her life. As Mary Kassian delivered her message “You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby,” God destroyed everything Cindy had believed about her life in one
fell swoop and gave her a brand-new life—His life. She returned home realizing it was time to make some drastic changes. And she did. But it wasn’t easy. Several months later, after also being saved, her husband confessed his sin of infidelity. The Lord sustained Cindy through that trial through all He had done in her at the True Woman Conference. It was painful, but as a result, God has blessed Cindy and her family massively. A few years ago Cindy and her husband released their nannies, which is unheard of in their country. More recently, God has given Cindy the privilege of teaching her children at home, and she loves the daily opportunities to disciple them. This year at the first international True Woman Conference, Cindy was able to share her story with the 2,300 attendees. She spoke from the stage: I always said I didn’t have what it took to be a mom, and really, I was right. I don’t have what it takes, because what it takes is the grace of the Lord Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit working in my life. Cindy will tell you that God has used Revive Our Hearts to change her life 180 degrees. Everything in her life looks different than it did six years ago: The Lord changed my life at that True Woman Conference, and I give thanks to Him, because He redeemed me from a way of life that was so empty.
Our homes are under attack. Marriage is being redefined. Countless couples lack the biblical foundation to build a relationship. Too many children are growing up in broken families. Now is the time to strengthen homes by calling women to freedom, fullness, and fruitfulness in Christ! For Such a Time as This |

rustrating.”
“Shocking.” Those aren’t usually the words a ministry likes to hear related to their resources. But in this case, we couldn’t be more thrilled. Kesha Griffin, a pastor’s wife near Los Angeles, emailed us about her experience taking several women through Seeking Him: Experiencing the Joy of Personal Revival. It wasn’t easy for her to find the study. First she had to wade through self-help book after self-help book, all disguised as Christian literature. But then one day, God “dropped” Revive Our Hearts into Kesha’s lap as she was researching online. When she and six other women began this study, “It was shocking,” she told us. “All the content of the book was new,” Kesha explained. “It was foreign to us all. It was very frustrating to know there is so much about the Word of God that we were never taught.” But God provided for Kesha and the women she leads at just the right time. The study stepped on their toes and had many of the women in tears. Some sobbed through the
chapter on grace, as they learned how God had “wooed” them in such an intimate way. “I was really, really impacted on the chapter on forgiveness,” Kesha added. What began as six women grew into nearly 30 women, as participants told friends, family, and even coworkers about the study. Kesha and five other women then attended the Revive ’15 Conference this past September. We are so grateful for the opportunity to equip Kesha as God raises her up “for such a time as this” in her community. Kesha couldn’t be more grateful, either. “I’m so thankful God led me to your ministry,” she told us. “Honestly, as an African-American woman, I was desperately seeking resources to help equip women to be godly and to ‘seek Him.’ There are a plethora of resources available from Christian authors to learn how to be successful, land the man of your dreams, start a business, or climb the career ladder. Sadly, not many resources are available that teach sound biblical doctrine, that encourage biblical womanhood and holiness, and that ultimately point to Jesus Christ and living for His glory. Thank you so much for being used for God’s glory, His Kingdom, and His people.”
The Church is the greatest hope for America. A revived church would show the world an accurate picture of Christ.
Revive Our Hearts is calling women in the Body of Christ to teach other women God’s unique design for their lives. Now is the time to strengthen churches by calling women to freedom, fullness, and fruitfulness in Christ!

f you wanted to pop in on Danielle Hurley, it would take you approximately 20 hours to get to her house—by plane, not including layovers! As you can imagine, this missionary wife and mother of six could easily feel isolated. But thanks to technology, Revive Our Hearts is able to drop by Danielle’s kitchen every few weeks. “It opened a whole new world for me,” she told us when she discovered our online programs. Danielle spends her days serving those in Kubamitwe, a remote village in Uganda, Africa, so she needs to be filled with God’s Word in order to continue pouring out to others. That’s why every few weeks she travels two hours from her small village to the capital to get the only Internet connection in the area—and even that’s slow! It takes her about 20 minutes to download the Revive Our Hearts podcast in that little coffee shop, but it’s well worth the wait for Danielle. She returns home with a couple of podcasts, and as she’s making dinner in the middle of the jungle, she listens to Nancy. “There has been many a day I have tears streaming down my face,” she told us, “because I’m feeling so ministered to by a godly woman who now is in my kitchen in the jungle. It’s an amazing gift.”
She and a team of elders’ wives are studying True Woman 101 together on Tuesdays, and then on Wednesdays each leader is taking the material to one of six surrounding villages in Uganda. Danielle released each limited copy of True Woman 101 to these leaders on the condition that they would faithfully teach the material to their village Bible study each week. To ensure a thorough comprehension of all the material, they divided the eight-week study into 40 weeks and translated each day’s homework into their local language, Luganda. And . . . it’s spreading even further than that! Just last month, Danielle taught True Woman 101 to over 400 young women at a National Youth Conference, and she has been given the opportunity to teach it to over 600 women at a National Women’s Conference this December. Thanks to your support, we can offer Revive Our Hearts programs and transcripts for Danielle to download all the way over in Uganda, for such a time as this. If you could drop by Danielle’s home, she would thank you for “the fellowship of women to listen to in my kitchen.” Somehow, I think the women she invests in each week would thank you wholeheartedly as well. “It’s inevitable that our hearts will be revived,” Danielle says, “because that’s what the Word does, and that’s what the ministry of Revive Our Hearts is built on.”
But what’s really amazing is that Danielle hasn’t kept that gift to herself; she’s been busy sharing it with others.
God has provided new opportunities to speak to women around the world over the Internet. Women around the world are being transformed through God’s Word for the first time. Would you help Revive Our Hearts take advantage of these opportunities for worldwide reach? Now is the time to strengthen and encourage those on the front lines who are sharing the gospel with every nation on earth! For Such a Time as This |

“I lost my mom unexpectedly 12 years ago, and shortly after that time found our amazing Lord. Revive Our Hearts has filled the gap of biblical womanly advice I needed and still need. What a blessing!”
“I was raised in the church all my life, but I did not know Scripture. Your teaching in sound biblical doctrines has impacted and transformed my life. I had no idea how I needed an older woman to show me how to love my husband and children. God has used your biblical teaching to change my life.” “I am a pastor’s wife who came to True Woman ’14 dry as a bone, ashamed and burdened with sin. Every Sunday had become a burden. I had lost my passion for serving God and was doing ministry in my own strength. From the first session, God began touching my heart. Little by little, the Lord removed my heart of stone and gave me a new heart. He revived my heart.”
“There are no words to thank you enough for the books and resources you’ve made available to us in South Africa! I am so excited about the impact this will have on the women and families of our country. There is a hunger for the truth of our Lord!”
“I was able to get the book Lies Women Believe: And the Truth That Sets Them Free, and it is a true treasure box for women. Since our Sri Lankan women are very much oppressed by the culture, it’s my longing to see them break out from it and rise up to their God-given potential!” 18

“As an African-American man, I have listened to Revive Our Hearts for nearly 11 years. Your teaching is so desperately needed among women in the black community. I listen intently to learn about the issues that women face so that I, as a young minister, can better understand the needs of women. Continue to do what you do. God bless.”
“I find the podcasts both challenging and encouraging as there are few English-speaking teachers of the Word where we live and work. The podcasts remind me to pray and to deepen my walk with God. I am encouraged by Nancy’s transparency and how many of her struggles are similar to ones I face. Thanks for the work you are doing.” “I’m 27 years old, but I started listening to Revive Our Hearts when I was 22, newly married and a new believer. I had not grown up in a Christian home, and women I was around at the time were not ones I needed to look up to. I had no older woman. Nancy doesn’t know this black girl from the inner city of Detroit, but she was my older woman. God used Revive Our Hearts to take me from milk to meat quickly . . . from modesty to submitting and respecting my husband. What a treat you’ve been to me! Now as the mother of two with one on the way, I’ve been blessed to grow in parenting as well. My husband has appreciated the things I’ve learned and the example I’ve been given that he couldn’t be for me—and that being a godly woman. It’s been my delight to share God’s truths and design for women with as many women as will listen, as well as with my daughter. Nancy, thank you for being my older woman, and thank you, Revive Our Hearts.”
“I have been familiar with Revive Our Hearts for most of my life. My mom has treasured this ministry, and passed that love for strong biblical teaching on to me. Now I am a young mom and my appreciation for your ministry has never been greater.”
