Jump-start Your Automotive Career With T-TEN


The Toyota and Lexus T‑TEN program provides state‑of‑the‑art, hands‑on automotive diagnosis and repair training, emphasizing skills needed to succeed in the automotive industry. When students graduate from the T-TEN program, they earn an associate degree and certified industry training with Toyota — cutting a seven-year training timeline to two years.

COURSE OFFERINGS Over the two-year program, students will take courses in: • Automatic Transmissions • Brakes • Climate Control • Electrical • Engine Mechanical • Engine Performance • Manual Transmissions and Drivetrains • Steering and Suspension • Hybrid Vehicle / Advanced Technologies

3 STEPS FOR T-TEN SUCCESS Apply for the T-10 Program Apply to Reynolds at reynolds.edu and receive your Empl ID (student ID) and username. Save this information! You will need both to log on and create a MyREYNOLDS account within 24 hours of applying. It takes less than 20 minutes to apply and is free.

Financial Aid also takes less than 30 minutes when prepared with documents. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the priority deadlines: April 15 for fall semester, and Sept. 15 for spring semester. Use the Reynolds Federal School code: 003759. Reynolds also offers more than 100 private scholarships. Apply between Dec. 1 and March 1 at reynolds.edu/scholarships. All applicants will meet with the Autmotive Program Head for an interview before being accepted into the

cohort. This conversation will determine if the applicant is a serious candidate for the Job Shadow required internship at a local dealership. A critical step of the application process is for the candidate to test drive his or her interest and abilities along-side a master technician at a local Toyota dealer. The dealer service manager will conduct an interview to determine if the applicant is hirable and ready for a job shadow at the dealer. Get your education Program Acceptance: Students will be notified by the Automotive Program Head if accepted in the program. It’s an awesome opportunity for small class sizes and personalized instruction.

Dealer Employment: Students are required to remain in good academic standing while employed with the local

Enjoy an Automotive Career: Depending on level of experience, technicians in this high demand field in the Richmond area earn a median salary of $50,000+. The demand is high for skilled technicians.


HOW TO PAY After completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), students in the automotive program may qualify for G3 Tuition Assistance at Reynolds. G3 Tuition Assistance G3 stands for: Get Skilled. Get a Job. Get Ahead. Students pursing high demand careers in select programs, like the skilled trades and automotive, may qualify if income is limited. After Financial Aid dollars are considered, a Reynolds financial specialist may award students G3 funds. This means college tuition could be low to-no-cost. To recap, next steps: 1. Other Scholarship Opportunities Students who have at least 2.5 grade point average are eligible to apply for scholarships. Students only need to complete one common scholarship application online between Dec. 1 - March 1 to qualify for all Reynolds scholarships.
