Design Brief The location given is located near the future developed university, bus station, and at the secondary road which connect Malang to neraby cities. Designed to be high rise, the function selected is Apartement (aiming future university student), and Convention Center as Malang doesn't have bigger scale convention center.

As Malang is growing toward a bigger city as Surabaya, residen endlessly growing side -by-side. Future development universi location give the designated apartement a market to aim and Conve to reclaim the Malang city needed as bigger city is growing.

Communal and livable spaces are designed to reclaim any green and open space and to connect the people that live in the apartment. as the design is twisted toward every direction, any room would have enough natural light coming inside with wider and bigger openings and connectivity to their own balcony.

Design Brief Cruise ship port in Surabaya is located in the north part of the city. Close to the Madura Island, the redesign of Cruise port in Surabaya is to gain some of Surabaya’s philosophical and intangible icon. The design have to had some of Surabaya’s value to represent the city itself.

Design Brief Sophisticated design method was applied to this building complex, as it had to have a real empty space, a real problems, and a clear solutions about how this design solve real life problems. This building facade design is directed to have a visual characteristic as one of the iconic or famous building around Batu city.

Traditional market tends to have a good and bad name in te society. Because of the messy, dirty, and dark walkways. But it had a good name, because its cheaper. Located in Batu city, a new city with its vision towards a recreational center of east java city, this market will elevate and integrate the vision of recreation and education, with farmer ’s market center to elevate the agricultural product in Batu. This combined function will generate a sustainable design for the society to learn and produce the agricultural product.

Sustainable market will educate and produce not only good vegetables and fruits, but also produce well-trained farmers and society who cares a lot about plantation and connection between human and mother nature.


Cross ventilation to maintain the cross ventilation and circulations designated with large footprints, an open and transparent roof is placed in the middle of building while market stall is still placed below the opening. This could optimize the building energy efficiency and space used for market.
