Reza Kabul Reza Kabul began his career in a time of exciting change and urban growth in India. He completed his graduation from MS University, Baroda, and after working with Hafeez Contractor as an associate, he started his own practice. Today he is proudly looking forward to opening offices in Pune and San Francisco, turning another global leaf in his already existing designs world over. To him every project is a new beginning, exciting and unique in its own way. It is a marriage of two fields – art and engineering, he says that “gives an option of many different ways or approaches to the same goal”. He feels that every project is unique with its own challenges and teaches you something new by the end of the project, “Every project is like a new affair,” smiles Kabul. Kabul admires the creative genius of Le Corbusier, Frank Llyod Wright, Geoffrey Bawa, Nari Gandhi, Charles Correa and Zaha Hadid. He loves to work with rough granite stone block for façade, sawed rough wood with open grains, stainless steel brush finish, terracotta clay/bricks/tiles, glass and bamboos.
Founded in 1988, Reza Kabul Architects Pvt. Ltd. has a strength of almost 100+ full time staff. The firm grew as the city of Mumbai grew and the steady growth of the practice over the years is one factor in allowing them to address projects of this scale. The firm aims to provide good designs which improve the quality of life where people live or work or seek entertainment or leisure.
