A vacation home is primarily a second home. Though unlike one purchased with the intent of an investment, vacation home is often a relaxing and rejuvenating space. Generally, found either on the outskirts of the main city, or the in hills, or by the beach; several home owners prefer having an access to skip away to a change in location from their routine lives. Keeping in mind, the idea of a weekend home where entertainment plays a major role, greater spaces are a must.

VACATION HOMES
The overall villa is a luxurious, easy to maintain home with alive elaborate spaces for entertaining people with all moods and tastes. The Private Villa has been designed by using two adjacent pre-constructed villas. The challenge was to merge the two as one final product with clean straight lines. Minimum walls were achieved with the help of breaking down the central wall enlarging the area to greater spaces. The living room done in white enhances the feeling of space with a calm luxurious feel. Close to the living room is the dining area with a bar counter. The furniture has been to a minimum with relaxing but luxurious styles. Keeping the dining and bar area near the pool table helps one to continue a conversation between playing and children without any break in flow. Outside, a courtyard along with a barbeque area has been provided for giving the client an opportunity to entertain beyond the walls. Keeping the wide variety of likes and dislikes of various people on a holiday, the basement designed is equipped with various indoor games like pool,
THE PROJECT
table tennis as well as an AV room and disco area with fully equipped DJ instruments. It thus becomes the most practical area to help reduce noise thus avoiding disturbance to the neighbour as well as it is away from the 6 bedrooms located on the above floors. The exterior is made up of 50 percent natural stone cladding while the remaining is painted, done with modern lines in sync with the interiors of the place. The project hosts two individual kitchens, one catering to the non-vegetarian cooking, while the other for the vegetarian. Wood has been used at various points in the living areas especially the ceiling and wall to ignite warmth in the surroundings. The flooring of the lounge too is covered in wood helping it to transform into a dance floor. Lighting plays a vital role to set different moods for various areas. A warm and cosy feeling in the bedroom while relaxing and subtle lighting for the living area and disco lights for the lounge - dancing area, helps keep up the flow.
