OUR CURRICULUM
Grammar School in the UK is something that we are excited to replicate for the children at RGS Vietnam. Life at RGS is far from all academic work and students are encouraged to make the most of the vast menu of opportunities available to them. Through trying something new, developing established hobbies or embarking on new programmes such as the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Awards, students gain vital life skills, learn about themselves and make friendships beyond their immediate network, often friendships that last a lifetime.
leadership and vertical integration across all year groups will be developed through a collaborative House system. Students are allocated to both a House and a House family when entering the school, usually led by a team of Upper Secondary students who are guided by Heads RGS, many ideas are discussed and put forward as students often feel more confident holding discussions in the small family groups. Within the House system students are encouraged to view leadership as consisting of multiple qualities and have the opportunity to display these qualities in the vast range of House events, including sport, singing, drama, art, debating/public speaking, chess and quizzes. The collaboration will also bring great opportunities for RGS Vietnam students such as student exchanges, enhanced cultural understanding and the opportunity to experience new methods in pedagogy, through short-term exchange programmes or summer camps with RGS UK or any other Reigate schools worldwide.
