This July, your son will say goodbye to the RGS as a student and become part of the Old Guildfordian (OG) community - a global network of former pupils and their families, bound by shared experiences and lifelong friendships.

Your son’s first port of call should be www.rgsconnect.com - our dedicated online platform for all the RGS community, including you as parents of OGs.
RGS Connect is a powerful networking directory where you can connect with fellow OGs and seek valuable support and advice. Individual OG profiles highlight the help they’re happy to offer - whether it’s reviewing CVs, career mentorship or industry insights.
After their exams, all U6 boys receive a link to join this exclusive platform for the RGS community. Parents are encouraged to sign up now.
Undergraduate Support
Starting university is an exciting step. RGS Connect can offer insights into student life, allowing boys to search the directory for fellow OG undergraduates at the same university, or studying a similar course.
We host a number of social events for our recent leavers - both in Guildford and at universities with a strong RGS alumni cohort - giving the boys a chance to stay connected with staff and friends.
Our team, led by Peter Dunscombe, Director of Careers and Higher Education, is dedicated to supporting your boys in the years following his time at the School, offering guidance and encouragement every step of the way.
The best career advice comes from those with first-hand experience. Our OG community is exceptionally generous in sharing their insights and offer RGS students support on key questions such as:
Higher education or apprenticeship choices
Where to find work experience during a gap year
Internship opportunities and the best companies to apply to
How voluntary or holiday work can boost employability

A Lifelong Community Career Advice
We host reunions for all our community and alumni across the decades, with receptions in Guildford and London, and internationally in Singapore, New York and Palo Alto. These events offer a chance to reconnect, share experiences and celebrate the stories of our OGs.
Many of these stories feature in DialOGue, our alumni publication, which keeps the RGS spirit alive with news and contributions from OGs.

Our Headmaster, Dr Cox, is committed to ensuring the brightest boys can access an RGS education, regardless of their financial circumstances.
67 students currently benefit from bursaries, with 37 receiving life-changing support of 80% or more - all possible because of the generosity of former pupils and their families.
