Nova 106.9

Nova Luncheon at Doomben Racecourse Daisy’s Florist

We created mini jar table arrangements in the Nova 106.9 corporate Marquee at Doomben Racecourse. The brief was light and airy with white and green traditional country style designs. The cluster of vases needed to be tight into the centre of the dry bars as food would be placed on platters around them. This installation was created the day before the event in warm temperatures. The tulips in the top vase were very tight but would open and hang back down towards the centre of the table the following day in time for the event.

Nova Luncheon at Alchemy Restaurant Using the mini jars and white blooms, the brief was for pure crystal white with limited green tones in these table designs. The flowers used are Colombian roses, white andromeda and white ranunculas.

Daisy’s Florist 16

80’s Fashion Flashback In 2016, Toowong Village celebrated its 30th birthday with the “Flashback to the 80s, Fast forward to Now” fashion parade. Mrs Di Cant supplied gowns that she had worn back in the 1980’s to political and diplomatic functions, fundraising and fashion Shows. Daisy’s Florist is an original tenant of Toowong Village since 1986 and created this canopy in hot pink and grey tones. The side tables and registration bars were decorated with round carnation balls in pink and apricot tones. Mirror balls, Perspex chairs and hot pink runway carpet, create that quintessential 1980’s look.

Toowong Styling with Plants This fashion event showcased a theme of fashion with modern tropical prints. The florals to match were all planted terrariums and orchids in glass vessels. The natural light filtered through the Toowong Village skylights to make the colours fresh and bold. The result was that a “conservatory” feel was created on the level one atrium.
