POWERING NEW LEGENDS
introduction "The Skelder Bank track is widely recognised as one of the best in the North East" Welcome to round two of the 2019 Judd KTM British Youth Championship. It’s an exciting time for us here at RHL Activities; we look forward to seeing some great racing at Whitby. I am pleased to bring the British Championship to Yorkshire to the Skelder Bank in Whitby for the first time. The circuit offers good viewing for spectators in front of the impressive backdrop of Whitby bay. The Skelder Bank track is widely recognised as one of the best in the North East and is always popular with both the riders and race fans alike. It has also hosted rounds of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship in previous years. Part of our priority here at RHL Activities is to grow our sport, bring more junior riders into the championship and give our riders the very best platform to develop for the future. Over the last seven years I believe we’ve achieved a lot, and this season we will see another strong lineup of riders across all classes that will benefit from racing with the very best youngsters in the UK on some of the best tracks for their development. The Judd KTM British Youth

Championship is the only gateway for young riders to enter a World Championship event, and we look forward to seeing riders enjoy all the benefits of competing with us, while establishing themselves throughout the ranks of racing. We value all our partners who are incredibly important to the success and progression of the Judd KTM British Youth Championship. I would like to personally thank you all for your support, and we are of course highly motivated to continue our growth of the championship whilst improving it for existing riders, especially as we look to lead the way as the most professional youth series in Europe. I hope you all have a great weekend of racing and enjoy the second round for the 2019 season.

ABOUT RHL ACTIVITIES RHL Activities Ltd is synonymous with organising & promoting off road events and is recognised as one of the major companies within the industry to not only lead the sport, but raise the profile of the sport, from its traditional grass roots of muddy fields to high profile sporting and trading events, both indoor and outdoor. In 2008 RHL was rewarded for what was referred to by the press and public alike as the best British Grand Prix for a decade, with official recognition at the annual FIM awards presentation in Monaco, when Gareth Hockey stepped up to receive the Best Infrastructure Award at a Grand Prix event. Gareth Hockey is the man behind the RHL team, it is his drive and focus that spearheads the team, pushing and developing not only the company, but also encouraging the development and growth of the team and its individuals. The RHL team has grown to include some of the most experienced and respected figures in not only off road motorcycle sport, but also within the event industry. RHL Activities are the promoters of the Judd KTM British Youth National Championship since 2012. Where
over this period we have seen the championship grow year on year and when RHL took the championship over they started with very few riders to now having 200 plus rider competing in the Official ACU British Youth Championship. The championship see’s the best youth motocross riders throughout the UK battle it out for the British Championship titles across six rounds at the countries best tracks. The championship is the steppingstone for youth riders to get into the Maxxis British Motocross Championship and the World Championships. The company also runs the world famous Weston Beach Race which has been in existence over 35 years. The event is recognised as the biggest, maddest and baddest off road event on the UK calendar. The event is RHL’s version of the London Marathon with amateurs and professional riders competing together, over two days, with race classes ranging, from the youngest riders of 7 years old to the oldest rider in 2016 of 73, competing on both two and four wheels. The event attracts up to 1500 riders and tens of thousands of spectators, which take over the seaside town of Weston Super Mare.

concluded the top six for the class. The Big Wheel 85cc class provided some outstanding racing to watch across the pack with some great competitive riding to keep the spectators on their toes. After a very close finish in a number of motos SJP Moto rider Charlie Heyman took the overall victory with 219 points followed by Sam Atkinson in second with 216 points. Judd Orange Brigade rider Bailey Johnston, last year’s 85cc S/W champion, was third on the podium with 200 points. Finishing fourth was Revo Husqvarna rider Ollie Colmer, whilst Wal Beaney and Kiean Boughen, who both will be competing at a number of EMX rounds this year, were fifth and sixth. The 125cc class had some hot competition throughout the weekend and it was a spectacle to see and hear the sound of 125cc machines tearing around the Oxfordshire circuit. Sun shone on Culham for the British Youth Motocross Championship season opener
The Judd KTM British Youth Championship season opener was at Culham MX Park in Oxfordshire next to the River Thames over the weekend (March 30 and 31) where Robbie Daly, Max Harris, Finley Evans, Charlie Heyman, Preston Williams and Dominic Lancett took the honours in their respective British Youth Championship classes. In the all new British Rookie Championships in the Auto to Open class, where those competing in each category for the first season are awarded points for a separate series to recognise their achievements aside of the main class they are racing in, Brian Gyles, Noah Eastwood, Will Haddock, Bailey Johnston, Louie Kessell and Max Ingham were the overall winners. In the smallest capacity Auto class there was no stopping Judd Orange Brigade rider Robbie Daly who took all five moto wins with the maximum number of points of 225 for the first round. Throughout the field there were some outstanding battles as the stage was set for the
year, where Brian Glyes took second place on the podium and Lucas Lee was in third with Stanley Siebert, Elvis Totney and Malachi Allan rounding out the top six in the category. Spectators enjoyed some incredible action throughout the five 65cc class races at Culham – in fact, it went down to the second day to determine the opening round overall winner. Taking the top spot on the podium was Dirt Bike Rider Magazine sponsored rider Max Harris. Clinching second and third positions were Noah Eastwood and Brandon Buckley, who rode superbly throughout. ArchieJay Girdham, Reece Jones and Charlie Richmond rounded out the top six. SJP Moto Small Wheel 85cc rider Finley Evans battled hard to take the honours for the class with just a four point advantage over second placed rider, Tyla Hooley. Judd Orange Brigade’s Ben Mustoe has had a positive winter to kick off his season with a first podium aboard his KTM. Will Haddock, Warren Clarke and Finlay Boxhall

Fourth overall went to Joseph Dent, with Finn Eady and Jack Roberts in fifth and sixth positions.
