Must See Attractions this Holiday Season
The City of Atlanta is full of exciting events and attractions. This issue of the Atlanta Guide is devoted to showing you everything the city has to offer this holiday season, including events for the family, Atlanta traditions, date ideas and New Year’s Eve plans.
Family Friendly The Georgia Aquarium The Georgia Aquarium is a great place to take your family over the holidays. The aquarium has over 8 million gallons of fresh and marine water and is the largest in world. More species of acquatic life call the Georgia Aquarium home than any other aquarium. There are four main exhibits at the aquarium.
Exhibits Cold Water Quest In the cold ocean waters you will find fish and mammals. Ocean waters are full of a rich variety of life. Here you can see beluga whales, giant octpus, weedy sea dragson and giant spider crabs.
Georgia Explorer A highly interactive gallery with touch pools. Here you can see crab, stingrays, shrimp, sea stars and more. Close by is the Whale exhibit. They are one of the most endangered species and the live right off the coast of Georgia.
Ocean Voyger This exhibit was specially designed to house whale sharks, the largest fish species in the world. Gusts can walk through a giant acrylic tunnel to view the massive underwater world
River Scout In this exhibit you will find fish and animals that come from Africa, South American, Asia and Georgia.
Atlanta Tradition The Pink Pig Priscilla the Pink Pig has been an Atlanta tradition since her debut in 1953. This train ride through the life-size storybook of the pink pig and her friends will sure to please you little ones. It costs $3 to ride the Pink Pig and a portion of proceeds go the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Where:Macy’sLenox Square
