CELSO CAUE REGO RIBEIRO My love for using creativity in favour of people drove me to choose architecture over other options in the creative industry. Architectural design and Urban planning are both two beautiful ways to use creativy as a tool to work in big scale while helping to improve our world.

RESIDENTIAL MODEL
2011
RESIDENTIAL MODEL My very first model in Architecture and Urban Planning school. The objective of the work was to become familiar with home design and crafting. The material used was thick cardboard for the walls and the roof, dyed sponge for the vegetation, acetate for windows and hot tub, styrofoam for the base and stones, and acrylic paint for the finish.
This house was designed for an elderly couple, therefore, the most used facilities are located in the ground floor and concentrated in the house’s frontal part, in order to make it more accessible. The bedrooms are located in the back, in a more reserved area. There’s also a reclusive garden in the back, offering a more cozy feeling. The living room contours an spa, which has a small bamboo and stone garden by its side.

ROOF
The first floor holds a home theater and a bathroom, and is supposed to be used mostly when receiving guests. It’s possible also to be used as a guest room.
RESIDENTIAL PROJECT
2012
RESIDENTIAL PROJECT The following project was the second residential experiment I worked with. In this case, I had to create a program of my choice, the project should have a swimming pool.
VOLUMETRIC STUDY
The house was designed for a couple of teachers with one son. Besides the bedrooms, living, dining and pool area, the house has an office for the couple to work at home. It’s distribution was formed in a way so that the pool area is surrounded only by the house itself.

SOCIAL HOUSING PROJECT

SOCIAL HOUSING
VOLUMETRIC DEVELOPMENT
The goal of this project was to build an apartment complex in a chosen empty urban space. The work was held in pairs.
INITIAL SHAPING
For the building, we chose to keep it low, deciding for a four story building. At first, we wanted to use each floor’s roof as an common space (first model), but for the final building we decided for a separate balcony instead, in favoring privacy.
FIRST MODEL
FINAL MODEL
The chosen area is located in the surroundings of Bauru city’s deactivated train station. Our complex was placed on a small hill, next to the unused railroad. The purpose of the project was to reativate the area, since its current state is negative for the existing neighbourhood A Sports area and a community square were also foreseen for the complex.

VIADUCT REVITALIZATION
2013
VIADUCT REVITALIZATION
The piece was conceived while working in a group of three students; the objective of this project was to give function to unused pieces of urban network. The chosen spot was an 3000 m² grass area under a viaduct. High pedestrian flux could be noticed, so we started drawing pathways for the square based on the routes formed on the grass by those pedestrians. By doing this, we would benefit the paths that were already being used by locals.

PICTURES OF THE AREA
VIADUCT REVITALIZATION With the pathways created, we started creating leisure spots in between.
VIADUCT SQUARE PROGRAM
The project explored the spaces created between the pathways. As seen in (I), the area received an appropriate treatment, adding crosswalks and ramps for accessibility. (II) is a small skate park, since the spot already brings some skateboarders passing through. (III) are low hills, to be used as a relaxing spot, since it’s under the viaduct, it has plenty of shade. (IV) and (VI) are two of the upgraded pathways, now surrounded by undergrowth as well. At last, (V) is a bathroom and a warehouse, located under the viaduct as well, to serve the square users.
“SEMARQ” GRAPHIC SET
2013
“SEMARQ” GRAPHIC SET Architecture Week (Semana da Arquitetura “SEMARQ”) is an event held at my univeristy that brings several complementary lectures and workshops for the students. For the 11st Architecture Week I worked with the logo design of the event.
FINAL VERSION
LOGO EVOLUTION
The concept for the logo came from the event’s theme for 2013: urban connections, Circuits. A very graphic example of urban connections are subway maps - that was the base for the all the graphic material of the event. For the set were created: t-shirts, posters, website designs and schedule folders (as seen in the low right picture).

RESTAURANT LANDSCAPING
2014
RESTAURANT LANDSCAPING
The objective of the project was to work mainly with the landscape and permanece areas of a restaurant. All used vegetation species were identified, and both applied materials and building structure were detailed. The restaurant is subdivided in small areas, as shown in the pictures, with a dry garden in the middle and a refletion pool, which connect all the areas.
The reflecting pool is built along the restaurant. The pool starts by the facade and continues through the center of the project; starting at (1) and finishing at (5). In it’s core (4) is located a structure formed by curved metal profiles (low middle picture), which provides cover for a small pub, setting it apart from the rest of the restaurant.
RESTAURANT LANDSCAPING
Slightly secluded from the core pub, there is a playground (7). It was entirely designed with treated leftover pieces from the main project, mainly metal profiles.
ARCHITECTURE LOGO DESIGN
2015
ARCHITECTURE LOGO DESIGN The logo design should be based in our own architectural style. Therefore, the chosen appearance for my architect logo was a clean and minimalist design.
VARIATION EXPERIMENTING INITIAL SKETCHES
PRODUCT TEST
I chose to use my two surnames as a base for the main logo (RR). The chosen colors and texture are based on the frequent adoption of dark wood covering in my projects.
